Hello! I am a trained primary school teacher with 15 years of childcare experience, ranging from teaching in schools, to nannying and supporting children with special needs. I have been registered with Ofsted as a childminder since the end of 2020. I decided to make the move from teaching to childminding after starting my own family.
I love working with kids! I find it rewarding and interesting, as every child is different. Working as a childminder suits me, as I get to marry up my skills as an educator and a mama to give your little ones a fun and educational experience in my home. I've worked with many different children over the years and watching them blossom and develop is a real privilege. First and foremost, I want every child in my care to feel comfortable, secure and valued. Only then will they be in a position to really thrive.
I offer a wide-range of activities in my setting that will offer your child all sorts of great ways to play and learn. These include: reading, singing, dancing, messy play, baking, arts and crafts, role-play, mark-making and plenty of time spent outdoors exploring nature and getting exercise. In the past we have attended Bristol Forest School ‘Tiny Trees’ sessions for a term, which is something we could discuss as an option for your little one. We also enjoy going to various local playgroups, Dancing Tots, farms, play cafes and soft play.
I have a healthy menu that will offer your child a nutritious diet. I am, of course, very willing to adapt it for any dietary requirements.

I’ve worked with numerous families in my childminding role and can provide references. I have taught in primary schools for 10+ years. I have worked as a nanny to three families. I have also done respite care for children with special needs.
