My Experience

Just to let you know a bit of my background in experience to childcare.

Full Time Nanny (Jan 2011 – Present)
Canada Water, London

I am currently working as a Full Time Nanny (for nearly 3 years) and look after 2 children. The boy I have looked after since he was 18months and now he is 4.5 years old is currently going to full time school now. So, I am mainly taking charge of his little 22month old sister who I have been with since birth.
I plan daily routines with the girl; taking her to playgroups, to the park, library sessions, play dates to interact with other children her age. I also plan adult led activities at home with her to stimulate and encourage her development further and through play which is very important. I cook daily healthy meals for the children, I tidy and clean all children related toys and clothes. I babysit once a month, where I do bath time with both children and bedtime stories before I put them to bed.
I also plan big outings and daily activities with both children during the summer holidays which are appropriate for both ages to partake in and enjoy.

Part Time Nanny (Feb 2013 -Present)
Hither Green, London

I am currently a part time nanny to a 10month old girl, I have looked after her since she was about 3 weeks old. I have established a good feeding and sleeping routine with her as I look after her in the evenings. I also plan some play time with her to stimulate and encourage her development further.

Sunday School Teacher: (Present)
Handcroft Chapel, West Croydon

Duties are taking a group of 10 children aged between 4 – 7 years old and teaching them biblical stories each Sunday along with various creative activities and play in relation to the topic for the day.
I am part of a team of Sunday school teachers who also plan and organize leisure programmes such as going on day trips or weekend breaks away with the children.

Nursing:
South Bank (University) & Whipps Cross Hospital (Placement) (March 2009 – August 2010)

University
I have 18 months experience in nursing, my training were as follows: foundation skills for practice, biology for nursing, applied biology for nursing, engaging with vulnerable children and adults, individuals in society, ethics and law. Sciences for nursing, first aid (babies, children and adults),
I have completed a 12 week placement in the hospital on a surgical ward, I also completed a 4 week placement in the labour ward where I was able to observe and assist the midwife in two natural births and observe two doctors performing a C-section. Lastly I have completed a 4 week placement on the community, working with District Nurses.

Deputy Manager & Childcare Practitioner (2007 – 2010)
Blooming Kidz; After School Club/Nursery

I worked as a deputy manager and childcare practitioner for this After School club/Nursery from teaching and playing with the children to liaising with parents while also dealing with some of the admin side to the job.
The children were aged from 2 - 12 years old. I organised activities for the children- daily, weekly, monthly and yearly based on themes or topics, such as “The environmentâ€?. I would have different sessions, e.g. a touch and feel lesson on sand, water and seashells in relation to the beach. Music and dance sessions on the environment, e.g. sounds of cars, animals, the ocean etc.
I also organised along with the manager, day trips to museums, parks, play centres etc for the children during their holiday scheme which we had set up for 5-6 weeks during the summer holidays.

I am available part time from morning till 2pm, as I currently work part time in the evenings.

My Fees

• Nannying from £15.00 per hour (net)
• Babysitting from £13.00 per hour

£13.00 - £16.00 per hour - but will be discussed with parent/s
