“Each child is unique and they all learn at their own pace, in their own special way.” This is the song I sing to myself when I am in any setting. As a former teacher it is my duty to ensure that I give of my very best in order to maximize every child’s potential. I have an ability to draw children in with my funny and loving personality and with this I create a safe and relaxed environment in which they can thrive. I love creating new games for learning with the children. Understanding the EYFS framework and the school curriculum, I listen to childrens’ interests and in turn happily spend my free time researching new ideas, topics and practises on search engines, local libraries and forums to ensure that I give them every possible opportunity to blossom at in my setting, at their nursery or school! After having worked in childcare and education for several years I have developed a bank of skills working with a variety of staff, parents and children of all ages; these include top-quality child care, planning, assessing risks, effective communication and meticulous organization and administration. I am a friendly, funny, caring and highly motivated person who works hard and am always eager to learn new skills and accept challenges. Staying home with my two little girls was very important too as I found it difficult returning to the workforce because no one could provide what I needed. So I’ve decided to do it myself and support working families, especially those seeking term time only cover! My husband, two little girls, cat and dog live in Chipstead - a 2 minute drive away from Chipstead Valley Primary School.
As a Mother of two little girls I was a children’s nanny for 11 years, an English and Drama Teacher, a Deputy Head Teacher and an Early Years Teacher over 15 years. I have a wealth of experience from birth to 13+ and would love to make your children feel part of the family while you are at work.
