I am a qualified Maternity Nurse and part time nanny with 13 years experience in childcare. I am married and have three grown up children.
I worked for 13 years as a psychiatrist nurse and became a community sister, working with new mums who had postnatal depression. This work encouraged me to pursue a career working with children and families. I have the valuable experience of being a mum and also 13 years experience in working within child care settings. I have worked in baby units, toddler rooms and pre-school, in primary schools and as a private nanny. I have been a Teaching Assistant ,working within each key stage and have supported children who have additional needs. I decided to specialize in maternity nursing as I have looked after many babies over the years and I have discovered that I have a natural ability in being able to settle and care for them. I find this work extremely rewarding. There is nothing nicer than being with a family at this very special time! I offer anxiety management to parents and the use of relaxation exercises before and after birth. I can help with all aspects of baby care and offer guidance on feeding and sleep routines
