I spent two enriching years in Shanghai, where I immersed myself in the culture and learned Chinese. Additionally, I have valuable experience teaching languages to children.
In my childcare setting, I create a Montessori-inspired environment, adhering to developmental guidelines. As a native Spanish speaker, I communicate with your little ones in Spanish. Additionally, I incorporate games and songs in other languages I'm proficient in, such as Chinese. I understand the immense benefits of introducing multilingualism early in a child's life.

My Experience
Coming from a large family, my childcare journey began by caring for my nieces and nephews from the day they were born. I've been babysitting since I was 16, gaining valuable experience over the years.
I came to England and work as an aupair for a British-Italian family with two children who were aged six weeks and 18 months at the time.
I also lived in Shanghai, china for two amazing years, where I cared and taught arts and languages to kids from 36 months up to 9 years old, as well as learnt their culture and language, passing with great results the HSK4 exams.
When the pandemic struck, I made a career shift and started working as a childminder. It was a fulfilling choice, and I continued this path even after having my own baby, who recently turned one. Now, I'm taking the steps and I have officially register as a childminder and opened Ole childminder
I am happy at work and enjoy seeing the children develop. I enjoy planning different activities with children including creative play, going outdoors for walks and singing songs.
I speak Spanish, Italian, Chinese (mandarin) and English fluently.
I have experience in planning and preparing healthy, balanced and nutritious children's meals and ensuring a good variety of foods throughout the weekly menu.
I am confident on setting activities Montessori inspired and STEAM, accordingly to the children’s personal development stage and age.
I find my role rewarding and satisfying when I receive reciprocal affection and love from the children I look after and when I see them develop healthy and happy.

Our 5-year-old has absolutely loved attending Rocio's Spanish after-school childminding sessions in Chester. The learning environment is both fun and educational, with themes such as colours and seasons, which are taught in a creative and engaging way. The children are introduced to Spanish in a natural, immersive setting, as they are spoken to in Spanish throughout the session. This has been incredibly beneficial for my son's language development.
My son is collected from school, and provided with a lovely dinner then Spanish play.
Rocio is also building a larger area at the back of the house which will allow more room for play too!
We are grateful for Rocio’s dedication and enthusiasm and recommend her for any parents looking to introduce their little ones to Spanish in a nurturing and engaging way!

Rocío has been caring for our son since September, and we couldn’t be happier with the warm, nurturing environment she provides. From day one, she has created a safe and engaging space where children feel secure, valued, and encouraged to grow. Her patience and attentiveness have helped our son develop confidence, independence, and a real curiosity about the world.
Her setting is well-organized and filled with enriching activities that support learning and development. Every day, our son looks forward to sports, dancing, and playtime, making drop-offs easy. Outdoor time is also a big part of their routine, which we really appreciate.
Rocío is fantastic at keeping parents connected, sending daily updates, photos, and short videos. This was especially reassuring at the start when it was hard to leave him. Her thoughtful approach extends to each child’s individual needs and this is clear to see.
It has been wonderful to see our son learning Spanish with Rocío! It’s amazing to watch videos of him understanding Rocío and interacting with her.
Another highlight is the nutritious, home-cooked meals she provides—our son enjoys them so much we hear that he has seconds almost everyday!
We are so grateful for the love and dedication Rocío puts into her work. She plays a crucial role in our son’s early years, and we highly recommend her to any parent looking for a caring, supportive, and enriching environment.

I met Rocio 4 years ago when she used to look after my oldest daughter. My daughter used to go happily to the nursery because of her, so when Rocio opened her own setting, I knew that would be the place for my second child.
And it has been a great place for my son, the best decision. This is a happy place, where kids love to attend, learn 2 languages and more, make friends and they all feel loved by Rocio.
