About Me
I have been a child minder since 1996 and a Mum since 1994.
My most recent inspection was November 2022, where I maintained my “Good” grade.
I enjoy doing lots of arts and crafts with the children.
I have experience of twins and working with teenage mums.
I am very flexible with parents needs at short notice.
I have a front room and dining room which we use and a family room at the back of the house, which is full of toys. I also have a garden and a summer house full of toys and another shed full of see saws and little bikes etc. I have recently added a new fun wall which can be used with or without water. It also has a steering wheel and colourful things for little ones to play with, which the kids love and I have loads of other activity toys plus sand and crazy foam. I have true to size wooden bricks and a wheelbarrow and tools which the older children enjoy playing with.
I have toys of all textures.
I have toys for all ages.
I will assist with things like potty training and weening.
I offer home from home childcare
I have travel cots for the young ones to sleep in.. I supply everything except for babies food and milk and nappies.
I am registered with Ofsted.
I do online webinar training regularly to keep my knowledge up to date.
I have a pet cat.
I take and collect from Beaudesert Lower School and Bumblebees preschool.
My Experience
I have experience of looking after children since becoming a Mum in 1994 and a minder in 1995. I have looked after many babies starting from as young as 6 weeks old. I have looked after children of all ages. I have had children for years that have only left me to start school and I have had their siblings. I have looked after twins from being babies until they went to school. I have looked after a teenage Mums child and a Mum over here on her own from Ukraine. I have often been asked for advice and thanked for my help.
I do not drive so am mostly home based as currently there are no toddler groups near enough for me to get back in time to give them their lunch before their afternoon naps. Also if they fall asleep in the buggy for 20 minutes it will spoil their nap. Parents are always pleased that children sleep well at my house as I base my day around their naps. This makes them happier when they are back home.
I offer a home from home atmosphere. I have had lots of thanks for treating children like one of the family,
I have a huge selection of toys for them to play with, which get rotated daily so they never get bored. This always includes a selection from each area of learning including books. There is always chance to do mark making. I lease with pre-school so can continue with what they are doing there.
I let the child lead the activities, they are never forced to do anything they are not ready for but I can adapt a lot of the activities to suit a varied age range.
I Usually look after children under school age but have a big range of toys and activities for older children.
I pick up form Bumblebees Pre-school and Beaudesert lower school.
I can do all year minding or just term time and offer holiday cover and adhoc minding. I am very flexible and always help families if they need to change for any reason whenever possible.
My working hours are 8-4 but can be a little flexible on those hours.

My Availability
I have 1 part time eyfs space , and two in the school holidays. . I have spaces for holiday care. My normal working hours are 8-4 but can be a little flexible on this.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
I charge £6.00 I charge double time before 8 am.
I do the 30 hours funding and accept vouchers. I charge for the time the child is with me, I dont round it up to the next hour.
