— From September I am only available for evening work, some weekend work and during school holidays. —
I am a polite, helpful, tidy, enthusiastic, hardworking person and I am a good team worker. I try my best to achieve my highest and to help whenever I am needed. I care about how I appear to other people and ensure that I am always clean and presentable. I am outgoing, confident, have a bubbly personality and am always willing to meet new people. I am very caring and love spending time with my friends and family.
I love working with children, helping them to progress and develop in themselves and their learning.
I have worked in a nursery since 2013, working with children aged from 6 weeks to 4 years. I started off as a 'bank' member of staff, acting as a float across the nursery, to cover staff members if they were absent. I then got contracted full-time as a Nursery Practitioner 6 months later, which then 11 months later, led me on to being promoted to a Senior Practitioner based in the baby unit. I then went on to be promoted to a Supervisor, managing my own team of staff and running the toddler unit, where the children were aged from 1-2 years. I also have experience with potty training as I worked in the pre-school room for 2 years where this was the prime age for it.
Whilst I was studying at college, I was a part-time Nanny/Mother's Help for twin girls from the age of 5 months, up until they were 27 months. This role meant that I was to keep the girls busy whilst their mother was doing work from home. I did things such as taking them for walks, to the park or just in to the garden! I often prepared tea and snacks for the girls, fed them, bathed them and got them ready for bed. I also accompanied their mother to many Baby/Toddler Groups.
Whilst I was studying at High School, I would babysit for a girl who was 7 years old at the time in the school holidays from 9am until around 3pm. I would do things such as take her to the park, go on the bus into town to go to places such as swimming, the Library, to museums, or entertain her at home with activities such as baking, crafts and various other activities.
I also often babysit of an evening for children that attend the nursery from my previous job.
I also do a regular bedtime nanny job every other Thursday where I get the children ready for bed, put them to bed, clean up from tea, tidy away all of the toys and iron the children's clothes.
My highest qualification to date is CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education which I studied for at Northbrook College.
I also achieved 11 GCSE's graded B-C.
I have recently obtained my Paediatric First Aid certificate and have taken part in various in-house training at the nursery such as Fire Extinguisher Training and Sustained Shared Thinking.
I am available Monday-Friday and occasional weekends (daytime or evenings) with notice.
