Nanny In Cotswold
About Me
Hello, I'm Rachel, a highly experienced childcare professional with over 22 years of experience caring for children from newborns through to school age.
I specialize in newborn care and have dedicated much of my career to supporting babies and their families during the precious early weeks and months of life. Through my work in the NHS maternity department, as a maternity nurse, night nanny, and private nanny, I have gained extensive hands-on experience caring for newborns both in hospital settings and within the family home. I am knowledgeable in newborn feeding, sleep routines, soothing techniques, developmental milestones, and helping parents build confidence in caring for their baby.
Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of childcare settings, including nurseries and private nanny positions with multiple families. These experiences have given me a strong understanding of child development and the ability to provide nurturing, responsive care tailored to each child's individual needs.
As a mother of three children myself, I bring not only professional expertise but also personal understanding and empathy. I understand the excitement, uncertainty, and challenges that can arise both before and after birth, and I am passionate about supporting families through these important life transitions. My goal is to provide reassurance, practical guidance, and a calm, caring presence so that parents feel supported and confident every step of the way.
I have also supported families as a maternity nurse and night nanny, offering compassionate care and helping parents adjust to life with a newborn. I am currently furthering my professional development by completing my Postpartum Doula certification, enabling me to provide even more comprehensive support to new parents and their growing families.
I am warm, calm, patient, and dependable, and I pride myself on creating a safe, loving environment where babies and children can thrive. Building trusting relationships with families is at the heart of my work, and I am committed to providing exceptional care, support, and peace of mind from the very beginning.
