Hi,
I'm Abbey Brown, I own "Abbey's Babbis Childcare" in Tewkesbury.
I am an OFSTED registered childminder.
I offer childminding to children aged 0-12 years old.
I own a very spacious house located in Walton Cardiff with lots of room for children to play, learn and move around.
I am a home from home setting, children and families complement me on the nice homely feel here, that’s exactly what I aim for.
I have a wide variety of toys/books/resources to cater for children of all ages.... We never get bored here!
My house/setting offers a nice sized garden with lots of playing equipment to keep children of all ages busy!
I have a dedicated playroom for the children where they can choose their own toys to play with, challenge themselves with different activities and learn.
We go on regular outings so children can enjoy the world around us and have regular visits to many parks.
I am located in Walton Cardiff near local parks, walk ways, a community centre & schools, all of these are in walking distance and visited often.
I have two sons and a daughter, my daughter and youngest son are in full time education and my eldest son attends college and also works.
All my work is based on the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage), giving your child/children the best possible start in life. I work exactly the same as nurseries/preschools & schools (early years).
Learning journals are shared between myself and the parent/carer so you can see and read about what your child/children have been up to on that day & also you’ll be kept up to date with their learning, where they are in their development.
Your child will learn and most importantly have lots of fun while here in our care.
I am routinely food hygiene inspected and am pleased to have 5/5 (awarded an Excellent)
in all areas.
However, you are more than welcome to provide your own food.
I can offer after school care for older children.

My Experience
Many fantastic years of experience from being a childminder... I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY JOB!
I love working in the early years.
I have lots of fond memories and love being able to stay in contact with children (and their families) I’ve looked after as babies that are now in school!
And of course, I have many years experience of being a mum to my three wonderful children!
My Qualifications
Environmental Health, given 5/5 for hygiene (graded EXCELLENT).
***Cache level 3 diploma in childcare
***Ofsted registered- GOOD in ALL areas
***Myself, partner & eldest son (Anybody 16yrs and above have to be DBS checked) fully enhanced DBS checked- All clear.
***Paediatric first aid trained
***Safeguarding trained
***Food health and hygiene trained- 5 STAR Hygiene Rating/Excellent
***Covid-19 course completed
***Various of other courses taken to continually update my knowledge and training
***Certificated for all of the above***

My Availability
** I work Monday-Friday
** I am open all year round any of my holidays/days off are not charged.
I can offer full/part time care, even ad hoc basis and emergency care/immediate start.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
I charge hourly rates
*Accepting the new funding April/September.
I am accredited to accept the achieving 2 year old, 3 year old and 4 Year old funding.
I am available to offer the free 30 hours childcare
Childcare vouchers schemes accepted
Universal credit payments accepted
And many other methods of payment accepted
*If you need any more information regarding the payment methods stated above then please just contact me. Lots of people do not realise that they are entitled to help with childcare cost and it could save them ££££’s.
Funding offers many hours of childcare & universal credit can pay up to 85% in childcare costs.
I provide breakfast/snacks/lunch & dinners (hot meals) for a small cost or you can provide your own.
I am regularly health and hygiene inspected with a 5/5 star rating.
