I am an outgoing and and very outdoorsy women that lives in Winchester.
I been working with children and young people since I was 16 and won many award for my commitment to making children and young peoples lives better.
I am studying Social Work at winchester university
I am a up to date DBS and full car license and a A in my Level 3 Childcare and education extend diploma. Which means I am fully qualified.
I have completed the Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education and I have been working in Nursery and Pre-school settings for the past three years. I have also been volunteering with children and young people with special needs since I was sixteen.
Working in Pre-school and Nursery settings have taught me to be able to adapt to changing situations to meet the children’s and their family’s individual holistic needs. I enjoy being a part of the continuing development of the children in my care and adapt activities to suit the different ages and stages of the individual child’s development. I have proven that I can work effectively as part of a team as well as on my own as it is an integral part of the role, I have also been trained to work effectively in partnership with the children, their families and other childcare and education professionals; to help support, scaffold and uphold the children’s learning and development.
Prior to my childcare positions, whilst studying, I used to work part-time at an after school provisioning club where we would help children with their homework and personal development activities for example; sports and arts and crafts.
I have extensive experience of looking after children one-to-one or in a family dynamic up to the age of fourteen. I take pleasure in helping children grow and develop through outdoor learning as I work as a Green Forest School Assistant Teacher at the weekends.
