Hey there! I am a 28 year old fully qualified childcare practitioner. I am currently looking for full time work and am studying at the Open University too. I do not drive but I have reliable transport for myself.
I am a confident, reliable, organised and dedicated individual. I am a good listener and am able to respect confidentiality (within appropriate reason). I am a friendly, loyal and tactful individual with the ability to remain calm in a crisis. I always work in a neat and tidy manner and perform well under pressure. I take pride in having an incredibly strong work ethic and staying motivated, I will not give up on something until it is finished to a high standard. I speak english fluently and am qualified in British Sign Language, and am able to speak basic french and arabic. I have excellent interpersonal skills and I am able to work independently at ease as well as remaining calm in a crisis. I take pride in my work and am passionate about what I do.
I have up to 10 years of experience with children now, I have gained experience working with children 0-13 years from all different backgrounds, ethnicities, cultures and capabilitiess; I have worked with children and taken care of children with additional needs such as physical disabilities and learning diabilities. I have not yet found any interaction challenging, but I am aware of my limits. If I am not comfortable with something I will speak up and tell you, because if I am not doing my job well then it is not only myself who suffers.

I studied Psychiatric Nursing at the University of Salford in 2015 and I am now studying BSc Psychology With Counselling with the Open University. I have recently worked as a childrens entertainer abroad with Thomas Cook.
My hobbies include keeping fit, photography and learning. I took an interest in keeping fit within the last 5 years, but have been interested in photography since I was a young teenager. I love to learn, I usually research topics such as psychology, neuroscience, mental health, mindfulness, feminism, photography and fitness.
I enjoy shopping, arts 'n' crafts, reading, cleaning and expressing myself, I have had a lot of crazy hair colours and have worn wigs in the past too, but for those concerned with appearance; I am naturally ginger, have 9 tattoos at the minute and no piercings.
My Experience
I am a fully qualified Childcare worker with a great passion for working with early years, I studied Level 2 CCLD and Level 3 ND CCLD from September 2012 to June 2015. Throughout my studies I have learned how to supervise and monitor the safety of children, prepare snacks and meals and assist children during mealtime, help children how to upkeep good personal hygiene, organise and carry out activities to explore their interests and to promote the SPICE areas, recognise signs of emotional or developmental problems through a number of observation methods, how to provide a safe, secure environment, and more. I have gained experience working with children 0-8 years from all different backgrounds and cultures, and have experience working with additional needs such as speech impairments to autism spectrum disorder. I also completed Manual Handling and Feeding training while studying Psychiatric Nursing in University of Salford.
