My Experience

I have over 9 years of experience working in private day care, including 6 years as a room leader. During this time, I developed a wide range of skills, particularly in supporting individual developmental milestones and tailoring learning experiences to meet each child’s unique needs.
I’ve also volunteered in youth work and after-school programmes, and worked across two nurseries, one in a private day care setting and the other within a women’s centre.
Most recently, I was a Unit Head (room leader) for nearly 6 years, leading a nursery room for children aged 14–19 months. I built strong, trusting relationships with both the children and their families, many of whom I still babysit for today.
I’m passionate about creating engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning through play. I’m always coming up with fun and creative ways to support children’s development while ensuring their safety and well-being are consistently prioritised.
In addition, I have previous experience as a nanny, caring for children aged 6 months to 3 years.
