About Me
I studied paediatric nursing at the University of Surrey, qualified in September 2017 and am now working in A + E at Southampon Children’s hospital.
I am looking for the odd evenings, and my days off helping out parents with babysitting needs. I have been babysitting for a number of years and have had experiences with children ranging from new-born babies to 18 year olds with learning disabilities. I am first aid trained and know how to carry out CPR effectively. I am DBS checked, have a clean background and no criminal history. I also have a clean Driver’s license and am happy to transport.
Throughout my time at university I also provided day-to-day respite care for a family but sadly having relocated for work I no longer see them regularly. I looked after a their son who has severe autism taking him out on day trips, providing personal care and became part of the family.
My Experience
I have been babysitting for a number of years for friends, family members and also offered my babysitting services to members of the pubic by posting flyers through people doors and received many happy clients. Throughout college I was volunteering at Southampton General Hospital on the children's wards increasing my knowledge and experience. I have had placements in two different special needs school so feel comfortable and happy looking after children with different needs.
During 2012 - 2014 I worked part time at Waitrose on the checkouts and customer service desk, gaining experience working with the general public which has dramatically increased my confidence and my communication skills

My Availability
Due to working full time (3-4 12 hour shifts a week) I am not available every day, evening or weekend but am largely flexible to help when I’m not working at the hospital. I am happy to do days (including early mornings), evenings and weekends.
