AVOID!!!!

Found Shanelle on this website for childcare. We were just in the beginning phase of getting set up. My son has had 2 sessions so far (2 hours and 3 hours). She said that everything was really good on sessions and he’s settling really well. Then she raised the prices for future bookings, but this was fine as it seemed everything was good otherwise.

The third time she was meant to look after my son before school, we went around and she didn’t answer her door. We could see the lights on inside, my son was crying wondering why she’s not opening the door. Tried calling her mobile and house phone which she ignored. Then she sent a message in the evening telling me she cannot look after my son as she now has other bookings AND my son is not ‘compatible’. Not even sure what that means… is that code for not enough hours provided??? As nothing was ever mentioned before, even sent me pictures of all the kids playing along having fun. NOT OK to blame someone else’s child for YOUR unprofessionalism in the morning.

Disgraceful how this whole situation was handled, if Shanelle didn’t want to look after my son a quick message or call beforehand would have prevented this situation. Avoid at all costs! She will raise prices and not open the door when she’s found other children. Even have the cheek to blame it on your child.

A legal requirement of our childcare contract was to be signed by yourself but was ignored. Your non compliant behaviour on this matter unfortunately meant your child was not booked in until documents were signed - I did inform you of this legal requirement and I must follow guidelines to protect all parties. I do apologise for the inconvenience for any upset caused. I was not expecting you on the day and was unaware you were at my door.
