I chose Jodie as my childminder having seen her advertisement on the childcare.co.uk website.  My daughter, at the time she started with Jodie was only 6 months, and as a first time parent I was naturally apprehensive. 

Jodie has a really lovely manner with Daisy, my now 20 month old daughter.  She always seems kind, calm and patient with her and Daisy is happy and well behaved, most times, and knows what's expected of her.  Since Daisy has been going to Jodie's I've been reassured that I have made absolutely the right choice.  She's so happy there and really loves Jodie and the other children in her care.  I've been impressed by the variety of toys that Jodie has and that Daisy doesn't just play with gender stereotype toys.  I've really seen Daisy's progress since she's spent time with Jodie and the other children in her care.  She's starting to learn words, has started to draw, something I would never have thought of doing with her at this age.  While she's pleased to see me at the end of the day she's never desperate to go home and always arrives at Jodie's with a smile. 

I have always felt very comfortable to ask questions and believe me there have been many.  Jodie is really honest and follows with our routine for Daisy (bed time, food, drink) and respects our opinions and input.  Jodie is an extremely committed professional childminder, always giving children her full attention during the day.  At the same time she's able to talk easily to the parents and pass on anything she knows will interest or concern them - a skill sometimes overlooked in childcare! Overall, a really impressive childminder.
