My Approach
I aim to support children's wellbeing by creating a fun, nurturing environment where they can learn, play and build confidence at their own pace.
Social development – Regular opportunities to socialise and play alongside other children through stay-and-play groups, library singing sessions, playdates and visits to local playgrounds.
Language and literacy – Sharing books every day and encouraging conversations about stories, introducing new vocabulary, and bringing favourite books and topics into imaginative play and arts and crafts.
Early learning – Naturally introducing letters, numbers and telling the time through games, songs, stories, nursery rhymes and everyday conversations.
Arts and crafts – From free painting and drawing to simple guided projects, encouraging creativity while developing fine motor skills, learning to use children's scissors and glue safely, and building confidence by allowing children to create independently.
Active play – Daily outdoor time and plenty of movement through dancing, running, climbing, balancing, ball games and exploring local parks and playgrounds.
Independent play – Encouraging children to explore, solve problems and practise new skills independently (with supervision), helping to build confidence, resilience and self-esteem.
Sensory and practical activities – Supporting sensory, motor and problem-solving skills through activities such as water play, playdough, kinetic sand, puzzles, building blocks, cooking and baking.
Personal Interests
In my free time I enjoy creative writing, reading, chess, running and photography.

We met Ellie to interview her and I can warmly recommend her. She was kind, thoughtful, and very responsible. She has also clearly genuinely cares about children and child development. If we’d decided to go down the nanny route we would have been very lucky to have her! I heartily recommend her to anyone looking.
