About Me
Welcome to Mini Monkeys Childminding Services! My name is Rachel Harding and i work alongside my husband and assistant Glen Harding. Both Glen and I are OFSTED Registered and have Paediatric First Aid Training. I am also a member of the Leeds Quality Childminding Network and have attended local training. I also have a Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People's workforce completed in 2016 having being a childminder for the last 13 years.
We are parents ourselves, so understand how precious your children are and having all required childcare ourselves previously, we know how important it is that your children feel comfortable when they are away from home. They need to be happy, be safe and have fun along the way. This is what we aim for at Mini Monkeys! Its a home from home. Children should be children and allowed to have fun and explore! As an OFSTED Registered Childminder, I am also obliged to adhere to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Standards, which means that whilst your children are in our care, they learn along the way and all of our activities are centered around the updated EYFS Guidance. We are OFSTED Registered, DBS checked, have experience of dealing with allergies and have valid Paediatric First Aid Certificates and safeguarding too. We currently care for children from 3 months up to the age of 11, but could possibly accommodate older children when necessary. We are also members of PACEY, Have Public Liability Insurance, and visit many playgroups and playcentres within the local area. We have a large separate playroom next to our property and a reasonably sized fully enclosed and secure outdoor play area for the children to play in and explore! My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
Price includes Breakfast, Lunch and Tea. Drinks are provided all day for the children. This includes Milk, No Added Sugar Juice and Water.
I supply Nappies and Baby Wipes too. I do not supply or work with children in washable nappies for hygiene reasons.
Please provide any baby cream and any baby formula in a daily changing bag if required. Whole milk will be provided if the children require it.
Under 5 Years Old: £5 per hour or full day 7.40am - 5.30pm £45.00
Before school - £10 per day inc Breakfast and School Drop Off
After School - £10 Per Day including snack and School Pick Up
Further charges may apply due to outings but will be discussed with parents prior to bookings.
Please note: Mini Monkeys was previously trading as Dougie Bears Childminding Services for a year so some reviews will refer to Dougie Bears. Due to personal circumstances, we changed the name of the business to Mini Monkeys.

Having had to move from a previous childminder, our pre-school-aged son settled in very quickly with Rachel and Glen and - apart from the odd parting cry! - loves attending, while we are very happy with the care he receives.
The kids have a wide range of activities both indoor and out at the setting, while they are regularly visiting other places such as parks and farms to widen their horizons.
Rachel and Glen clearly love working with the kids and have been flexible whenever me and my partner have had any work problems. We have all worked together to solve any issues to have arisen with our son (such as his biting phase!)
We are very much kept up to date with his progress, both when we are at the setting and via a daily diary which explains exactly what he's been up to and includes photos.
We very much recommend their services. When the time comes it will certainly be a wrench to leave.

We have been using Mini Monkeys for after school child care for our two daughters for the last 3 half years. Our Girls really enjoy going, and Rachael and Glen are an amazing team.
The care they provide is excellents and we have nothing but praise to say about mini monkeys. From the homely enviroment feeling to the food and activities they lay on for the children it is all excellent.
I would highly recommend this child minder for anyone looking for after school care who wants ther children cared for in a home style setting.

After having another childminder that let us down at Christmas we needed someone who could take care of Alice especially with us nearly loosing her last year. After a bumpy start Rachel proved to us how amazing she is by going above and beyond for Alice when she fell ill. She is an amazing person who puts everyone else first and does such varied activities with the kids everyday. I'm exhausted just watching her on the photographs. She really is doing an amazing job! Wouldn't be without her!

We have been using Mini Monkeys for 2 years now since our daughter started at school. Mini Monkeys is everything we expected in a childminding service and much more. Rachel and Glen are the most caring couple you could meet. They care for the children in their care as if they were their own. They provide a fantastic caring service with a great range of home cooked meals and excellent activities which our daughter loves. Rachel and Glen go over and above the call of duty for the children in their care and Quite honestly I do not know what we would do without them.

My daughter started school last Septpember and we needed childcare for after school and school holidays..
The moment we walked through the doors at mini monkeys It just screamed "this is a fun place to be" and it is.
The house looks like a childs paradise, with the lovely calm decor and toys in abundance.
The staff Rachel, Lisa & Adele are lovely, patient, energetic and are fun to be around.
Rachel has two children of her own that are older than my daughter Naomi. Naomi absolutely adores them and sees them as her big sisters.
At hometime she never wants leave, she loves it there. It is just one big happy family.
I would not hesitate to recommend Mini Monekys. I know that my daughter is very happy and is getting the very best childcare.
