About Me

*Nanny share based in East Dulwich*
*Twelve years childcare experience*

Our nanny share set up is due to come to an end in September as one of the families will be on maternity leave. It has been a great set up over the last two years with the little ones being true best friends! The remaining family and I are hoping to find another family to join the share, they have two children aged 4 (b) and 6 (g). Their youngest will be starting school in September so the role will single care during the day and shared after school and during holidays.

My name is Freya, I'm 30 years old based in South East London and have twelve years of childcare experience. For the past eight years I have worked as a nanny based in London and prior to this I au paired/ nannied for a year in Australia. In all of these roles I cared for 2 or more children, and all families would be happy to provide references. I have a level 3 diploma in childcare which I gained whilst working in a nursery setting, where I was employed for over three years.

I am an enthusiastic, bubbly, and caring person with a passion for working with children. What I love most about childcare is getting to know individual children, learning their likes and interests and creating fun, exciting activities to help them learn and develop holistically in a way they enjoy. I am reliable, flexible and willing to go above and beyond to meet the needs of children in my care. I enjoy working with parents to share ideas and discuss progress to create the best environment for your child.

My Experience

Current role June 2020- Present
Caring for a little girl almost 4 and little brother almost 2 basked in East Dulwich. We have spent most of lock down enjoying the local parks and woods, and getting creative. We’re excited to start getting into new classes now we’re able to attend. This role then extended to a nanny share role in 2021 where I cared for another little girl.

My most recent position working as a Nanny
February 2019- March 2020
Based in Hackney my main role was looking after the families youngest who was 14m when I started whilst his older brother was at nursery.

March 2017- February 2019
In my current role I look after two boys, aged 7 and 4, both of which attend school full time. During term time I arrive to work at 7.30 where I assist with the morning routine of getting the children ready for school, ensuring the children have the appropriate kit, preparing breakfast and dropping the kids at school for 8.40.After school I take the kids to the relevant classes, assist with home work, cook dinners, arrange play dates as well as doing the bed time routine of bath, bed and book.
During the school holidays I have the boys full time, during which we like to do lots of day trips to museums, farms, and galleries as well as local trips to the parks and woods. The kids are also very fond of a home day of arts and crafts, baking and general indoors and outdoors play. This role extended to a nanny share role 3 days a week where I cared for a baby 8m when started, we would attend classes/trips/playdates whilst the older boys were at school. After school and school holidays I would have all three boys together, I would arrange activities that engaged all three age ranges.

Sept 2015-March 2017
In this role I cared for 2 children aged 2 year and nearly 4 year old. My main role was to look after their youngest whilst her older brother who is on the autism spectrum would either be in sessions for his ABA programme or at nursery. ABA is part of the daily routine and is now something I am familiar with and I'm able to apply. Whilst their eldest is at nursery I take their daughter to a variety of clubs as well as swimming and outings to the park etc. My role also includes preparing and making basic meals for the children, feeding them, bath and bed time routine and generally keeping them healthy and happy.
