About Me

Hello,

My name is Rachel and I am a registered Ofsted childminder. I live with my two sons in the lovely area of Netherton in Huddersfield. I qualified as a Nursery Nurse back in 2001 and completed a childminding course in 2015 after having my second son and realising that childminding from home will be the best way of always being there for both sons as well as earning a living. thus resulting in the opening of Bouncing Bunnies Childminders.

I had my first Ofsted inspection in March 2018 and am proud to say Bouncing Bunnies was graded GOOD in every area.

In one way or another I have always worked with children. My last few jobs have included teaching children and adults how to horse ride, caring for a girl with cerebral palsy, being a children ski-rep for Thomsons in Italy, a nanny/Au-pair in Australia and France and working in the local nursery. So yes, I love kids.

I aim to offer a warm, welcoming, homely and stimulating environment and to build positive relationships with both the children in my care and the parents. I will ensure the children's individual needs are met so they can reach their full potential. I hope to offer children a continuity of care as close to their home environment as possible. I would love children in my care to feel ' part of the family'

I am located just a stones throw away from both Netherton Infant & Nursery School and South Crosland Junior School both of which I will be providing the school drop off and pick up service, as well as Netherton pre-school

Even though we may not have the biggest of gardens, we do have the playing fields and school fields directly behind us. The schools head teacher has kindly let us have use of the school field and has given permission for the child-minding children to have their own allotment patch there this year to grow there own herbs and vegetables, which we are hoping to pick and use in of our healthy meals (fingers crossed)

I believe that working in partnership with parents is the key to any child's development and I will encourage all parents to work with me, gaining knowledge and experience from them to ensure their child achieves their full potential, as well as having bundles and bundles of FUN along their learning journey with me.
