About Me
Hi, my name is Liisa Tyrer. I enjoy being around children with passion! Especially because of the same personality traits we share- we are honest, we enjoy the little things in life, we are genuine and willing to grow and learn. I highly value teaching them an open communication, caring and respect for others and themselves by leading an example myself. I can be silly and fun but I know when it is time to make myself heard. I have the right certifications, attitude, experience, emotional intelligence and maturity to make children feel and be safe and happy around me whilst gaining lots of new knowledge and experience through play.
I am down to earth, respectful, playful and genuinely happy person, I love living in the moment and being mindful. My hobbies are kickboxing, volleyball, learning harmonica, writing poetry & children's stories, jogging, have learnt piano, I enjoy dancing (different styles), doing DIY projects (art/crafting/interior design), interested in quantum physics, spirituality, psychology, different cultures and self development.
I was brought up in Estonia. I have been blessed with the best family/parents in the world, they have taught me so many vital life skills, attitudes and core values- which the most important of them is appreciation of relationships and family bonds. I also have a twin sister and older brother with 3 adorable kids. I'm hoping to create meaningful relationships with families in Brighton & Hove now. :) <3
My Experience
Currently working as bank staff at a nursery in Hove & as a carer.
Previously I was a nanny/housekeeper in a lovely family with 2 children, a boy and a girl. I was working with them almost 5years (starting when kids were getting 3&5 yo) before covid-19 changed our lives & due to parents being at home & me also working as a support worker, we decided to end our lovely teamwork.
Previously I had total of 3,5 years experience in childcare/nurseries (ages 3 months to 7 years) both in Estonia (preschool teacher) and Australia (educator, teacher's assistant). Plus nanny experience in Australia (3months, 2,5 y.o boy), also have taken care of my brother's three children- from birth to 15 years of age.
I was a support person for 6 months during my time at the nursery in Australia for a 2 year old boy with Angelman Syndrome.
My Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree of Arts in Education. (Early Childhood Education). University of Tallinn, 2010.
I have DBS check done in UK, Jan 2022.
Full Paediatric First Aid certificate Feb 2022.
Police check from Estonia.
Can provide references.
