About Me
My name is Gayle Cook, I am 42 years old and am a registered childminder.
I am offering a childminding service in my home for children from 6 weeks old to 16 years. The principle service I offer is to provide a safe secure stimulating fun environment. While your children are in my care I will encourage their all round development through stimulating and educational play and activities which are relevant to their age and stage of development such as puzzles, jigsaws, educational toys, books, role play, outdoor fun and games and other play opportunities. Play is an integral part of a Childs learning and development and therefore it will be encouraged and positively channelled. The play I will provide for your children will be interesting and varied to ensure that the children remain stimulated. The same goes for daily activities. Children will be free to choose how and what they play with and they will be encouraged to use their imaginations. This will help teach them how to interpret, imagine, create and interact with other children. This will also help them to explore and develop dexterity and movement skills. Children learn from activities that they have helped plan and carry out themselves, the play experiences I plan will assist your child in the following areas:
• To develop children’s ability to take the initiative and make decisions about what they are going to do and how.
• To develop children’s self discipline and their ability to identify personal goals and complete chosen tasks.
• To develop children’s ability to work with other children and adults
• To develop children’s ability for self expression, so that they can speak, write, or show through pictures or movement their experiences to others.
• To develop children’s creativity, spirit of enquiry and openness to knowledge and other peoples point of views.
Children will be given the opportunity for physical play and quiet play, physical play will be gained from playing in the garden and on various outings to parks etc. quiet play will take place indoors and will include art activities, as well as books, dolls, trains, cars, puzzles games and role play. The activities and play that your children take part in will be recorded for your perusal.

My Experience
I have 26 years childcare experience ranging from working in placements in schools and council nurseries while training in childcare, to working as a nursery nurse in private nurseries, being a crèche manager, working alongside another local childminder and working with childcare charities. I have also taken an active role in helping my family with childcare over the years and being a parent myself I also have my own sons to care for.

My Availability
This childminding service operates Monday through to Friday between the hours of 8am till 6pm these times are negotiable to meet the individual needs of parents.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
The costs of this service are as follows:
• £5.50per hour per child
• one weeks service costs to be provided up front
• nappies, wipes etc are to be provided by parent/carer
Included in the price of this service is breakfast and dinner (if requested), morning and afternoon snacks and drinks. Fresh fruit will also be available for your child to eat throughout the day. The cost of outings is included in the service fee.
Children are required to bring a packed lunch with them for lunch time
