I'm a patient, caring person who has had lots of experience working with children. My priority is to be welcoming and to ensure that each visiting little person feels comfortable, safe, happy and included into our family.
I provide a wealth of exciting and enriching play environments, opportunities and resources which encourage and enable children to explore, learn and most importantly have lots of fun. We enjoy creative, imaginative, sensory and physical play both indoors and out. Daily outings include parks, soft play, playgroups and farms.
All areas of learning and development, as well as each individuals needs, likes and interests are considered when planning activities and outings. I say "planning" loosely as i feel being spontaneous is quite often a better way with children.
I help and support children to build self-confidence and their growing independance by celebrating achievements and our differences.
I have an incredibly soppy Cocker spaniel that the children love. However she is kept away from the younger children because of her enthusistic, boisterous nature.
I am able to provide food for a small fee which is healthy, nutritious and home cooked where possible. I make great efforts to please individual tastes and requirements. I'm also very experienced in preparing and cooking gluten/dairy free food.
I became a childminder 8 years ago when my children were little and it enabled me to stay at home with them. They are now 11 and 12 and i love my job more than ever.
I have worked with children, including those with special educational needs in a variety of settings all my working life.
I am happy and able to provide references from all of the parents of the children a currently care for and testomonials of those that have now left.
I have completed all the necessary qualifications to become a childminder including a level 3 in Childcare, Learning and Development, Child Protection and paediatric first aid.
I have completed a qualification in food hygene.
Peviously i have completed a BAHons in Textile Art and a PGCE in Art and Design (i do lots of lovely arty things with the children).
I business is run term time only, although there is a certain amount of flexibility in the longer holidays such as Easter and summer.
I consider myself to be flexible; I'm happy to consider irregular days/hours if i can accommodate.
