Childminder

Carolyn was our childminder for our two children after I went back to work full time after my 2nd. From the start, both of our children were happy and settled. Not only did Carolyn provide and fun, safe and exciting environment at home, she also sort personalised activities to enhanced our children’s experience, whether it be a particular playgroup that my son enjoyed or involving my daughter in cooking her favourite food for tea.

I really felt as if Carolyn was part of the extended family and I know that my children felt very loved and cared for. She was so supportive during a busy and potentially difficult transitional period for our family. Carolyn is a fantastic childminder.

Amazing Childminder

Without knowing my 5mth old and 5 yr old were in such a safe, caring and loving family environment there was no way I could have returned to work when I did. I ended up having to return to the office when my son was just 5 months old when I had planned on taking the whole year off but due to issues at work I was asked to return early which was heart-breaking for me. However knowing that he would not be thrust into a situation where he was one of many in a nursery was a huge relief to me, you enabled him to remain within a loving family environment where he was with his big sister before and after school which was exactly what I wanted for them.

The ease at which they both settled in with you and the way you embraced them was such a relief and in a way for the 3 days they were in your care they became surrogate members of your family was exactly what as I mother I had hoped for. I decided not to use a nursery for when I returned to work as I wanted them to spend their time away from me in a loving family environment where they were allowed to live a ‘normal’ family life existence and that is exactly what you provide. The way you ensured that every day they got out and about going to the park or the local playgroups was perfect and other local mothers who knew my 5mth old would often comment on how happy he seemed at this play group of that so he was still very much a part of the same community that he was when I was at home with him which was the ideal situation.

From a mothers perspective there is nothing you want more than to know that your children are safe and feel loved and that is exactly what you gave them, it is obvious that you love what you do and genuinely love children and can assure you my children love you too!! It was devastating that they were not able to return to you after your maternity leave but as we discussed I needed longer hours to meet my new work hours which just didn’t fit in and having to tell Emma especially that she was not going to be returning to your care was a very difficult conversation to have, the only plus side is that they still get to see you most days at drop off so you are still a very important part of their lives.

I cannot recommend your child care services highly enough and I would say that any new children you take care of are lucky to be part of the extended family environment that you create.

As mentioned previously if any new parents would like to speak to me directly for a verbal reference once again i would be more than happy to speak with them.

Lovely, friendly childminder

We have used Carolyn for the last four years and she has provided exactly the warm, homely environment we wanted for our two boys. They have loved spending time with her and her children and have been welcomed into the family. Carolyn provides delicious, homemade food and lots of educational experiences. We are so sad that she is moving home and thoroughly recommend her to parents in the Farnham area.
