About Me
I am a married and have three girls.They are now grown up and one has two children. We have 2 grandchildren - a little girl aged 3 years, and a little boy 8 months.
I have really enjoyed my childcare career,at that time I was first aid trained, and had the a CRB certificate. I kept up to date with all relevant training and was highly thought of as I thought outside the box to give the children a fantastic day in my care.
I recently took early retirement (last September 2023) and am enjoying new hobbies together with my husband. I would love to work a few hours per week a few mornings.
My Experience
I have worked as a nursery nurse in a local nursery for about three years, this was difficult as I was also caring for my mum and my days became very long at that time.
I have been a childminder for 15 years and cared for very young babies and children up to the age of 11 years.
I was also a foster carer for three years, caring for newborn babies, and young children up to the age of 8 years.
My Qualifications
NVQ2 in Early Years and Childcare Feb 2003
NVQ3 in Early Years and Childcare July 2005
Elklan training completed April 2011
My Availability
I am now retired, and have enjoyed making new hobbies for myself and my husband that are mostly afternoons each week. I have availability every morning, seven days a week to babysit/ nanny or mothers help, so am flexible with days. However,I only wish to work between 8 and 12 hours per week, as I babysit my grandchildren often, and have hobbies too that are a lot of afternoons and the occasional evening.
