About Me
I am a married and have three girls.They are now grown up and one has two children. We have 2 grandchildren - a little girl aged 4 years, and a little boy 18 months.
I have really enjoyed my childcare career. I have a recent first aid certificate, and all members in my family have a DBS certificate. I have kept up to date with all relevant training by completing recent training regarding EYFS, and new changes regarding 2 and 3 year funding. I will be offering this service when I complete my childminder training.
I worked 16 years as a childminder, three years as a foster carer, and about 4 years in a nursery setting as a nursery practitioner.
I cared for my mother these past years, which took me away from childcare for a while.
In the next few months I am coming back to childminding. I am currently in the process of re-registering.
My Experience
I have worked as a nursery nurse in a local nursery for about four years, which was difficult as I was also caring for my mum and my days became very long at that time. I enjoyed working in a team and in the different rooms and age ranges there. I have worked with babies up to pre- school age in a nursery.
I have been a childminder for 16 years and cared for very young babies and children up to the age of 11 years. I am now in the process of re - registering as a childminder and will be doing a four day week due to caring for my grandchildren on a Monday.
I have also been a foster carer for three years, caring for newborn babies, and young children up to the age of 8 years. This was a wonderful rewarding experience but emotional as we said goodbye to them and they began their new lives.
My Qualifications
NVQ2 in Early Years and Childcare Feb 2003
NVQ3 in Early Years and Childcare July 2005
Elklan training completed April 2011
My Availability
I feel I wish to offer four days a week possibly between 7.30am and 5pm, although at this stage it will be discussed and may be re-negotiate.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
I will be charging by the hour. Currently I am advertised as a babysitter, and am charging a babysitting rate.
When I childmind I will be legally allowed to advertise under the title of childminder, with my Ofsted number.
My rate will be lower per hour and will be comparative to childminding rates in the Horwich/Bolton area
