My partner and I are both Ofsted registered child minders and have been involved in childcare totaling for over 15 years. I am British and my partner is polish. We have been rated Good by Ofsted. We have a young daughter who is 3 years old.
We offer a high quality service ensuring we care for your child’s personal and individual needs. Using The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) as guidance we carefully plan the care and learning of your child. We perform regular observations, planning, progress reports, and keep you up to date on how your child develops.
Children are cared for in a clean, light and spacious home from home environment equipped with a wide range of toys and a lovely outdoor play area where they can take part in fun and creative activities. Our setting has been adapted to a nursery environment and children have access to a garden which is equipped with toys and play equipment. Children have access to a planting area, giving the opportunity for children to grow, pick and taste their own fruit and vegetables, learning about how they grow in the process.
We ensure that each child is treated equally and will create personal activities based around your child’s interests.
We value manners and respect towards each other highly in our setting and show children in our care the importance of this.
We provide a caring environment where standards are high, independence can be developed and where there is a wealth of learning opportunities both structured and flexible, to help children to achieve their goals, promote their self-esteem and reach their full potential.
We promote healthy eating by offering a diverse menu offering children healthy and nutritious meals that we are sure they will enjoy. We accommodate any children who have allergies or are vegetarian. We celebrate all cultures, festivals and traditions allowing children the chance to take part and enjoy the diversity that exists in our community.
We both hold valid pediatric first aid certificates, safeguarding children certificates, and many more which can be viewed on request. We are also DBS checked and regularly review our practice ensuring our service remains to a high quality.
We like to build good relationships with parents; we believe working effectively with parents has a positive impact on the child’s learning and development.
We welcome parents support in our children’s learning and parents are welcome to come and read to the children, talk about their jobs or participate when going out on trips.
We make use of our local library, play groups and have several parks nearby. We also plan special trips throughout the year to beaches, bowling, museums and theme parks such as Lego Land or Peppa Pig World. We continually think of new and fun ways to help inspire and encourage children's imaginations and overall development. We are always keen to new ideas and suggestions from parents for new activities, foods to eat and places to visit with the children.
