I am currently available for part-time or full-time maternity positions, including overnight care and ad hoc emergencies. I hold a fully updated DBS and Pediatric First Aid certification. I am also registered with two nanny agencies ensuring thorough background checks.

With years of experience and relevant qualifications, I also bring the unique perspective of being a qualified counsellor, ready to assist new parents during this transformative time.

**About Me:**

I am a highly experienced childcare expert with over 40 years in the field. As a mother of four grown children and an adopted son who is now 17, I bring a wealth of personal and professional experience to my role. Additionally, I have fostered children for 20 years, which has enriched my understanding of diverse family dynamics.

As a qualified maternity practitioner, my focus is on supporting families with newborns. I completed my Level 3 Maternity Nanny Course at Reading University 25 years ago, the highest qualification available at that time, and I have since advanced my training with a Level 5 Maternity Practitioner Course.

My expertise includes various roles, such as Maternity Nanny, Newborn Nanny, Adoption Support, Special Needs Care, overnight care for newborns and twins, and proxy parenting for emergencies. I have extensive experience caring for children across all age groups and have undergone continuous assessments and ongoing professional development as a registered foster parent.

My flexible availability allows me to work during the day or overnight, often at short notice for one-off positions. For example, I took on a temporary role as a maternity nanny for a 6-week-old baby, which extended to six months due to the wonderful bond we formed and the family's need for continuity.

My specialised areas include adoption placements, newborn care, twins, attachment disorders, and behavioural support. My fees are negotiable based on hours and overnight stays.

With my maturity and life experiences, I approach childcare with a common-sense perspective. I am a warm, loving, and nurturing individual, known for being easy-going, fun, and confident in various situations. My training as a counsellor enhances my ability to effectively support families, especially mothers dealing with postnatal depression.
