My Summary

My Experience

I am very experienced with children of many ages ranging from newborn to 10 years olds. I have aided a child in their reading and writing skills and have experience with children with special needs and behavioural problems. I have spent two weeks in Senacre woods primary for work experience and four months in a Benjamin Rabbit Nursery. I then went to little legs nursery in the toddler room where I was a key person to 8 children who were all at different stages of development. After little legs I went to Noah’s ark preschool where I had 5 key children 1 with special needs. I was then at my next setting for 4 years, I worked in all age ranges with a maximum of 13 key children and 15 children whose paperwork I completed as well as my 13(28 children’s paperwork to complete and aid their development all together at one stage) due to their key worker not being in the room. During my time in townsend I have been the key worker for 5 children on behaviour plans, 3 children on SEN(special educational needs) personalised plans, 6 on SEN targeted plans, multiple EAL(English additional language) children and I was also SENCO(special educational needs coordinator) for the entire nursery with 15 children on my SEN register. Before I left I was based in the baby room with 7 key children my oldest key child being 18 months and my youngest key child being 12 weeks. In my most recent setting I am in the baby room, as baby room leader, which can hold 7 children. This has a range of stages of development, EAL, allergies, medical conditions and physical disabilities.
