About Me
Hello, I am an early years practitioner with over 30 years of experience. Maxidoodles is situated, in Wymeswold and I share my home with my partner and our pets - a beautiful working cocker spaniel and three cats. I provide a home from home environment with play-based learning that I tailor to meet the children's interests and needs. The children have a lovely homely playroom with french doors leading out into our secure garden.
The children are my passion and at the heart of my practice. Each child's well-being is crucial to their development and learning therefore each child is treated with respect, listened to, and valued to allow them to blossom into amazing individuals.
I follow in the moment planning with awe-inspiring provocations, offer unlimited outdoor play whatever the weather! I have a love for loose. parts play, creative woodwork(using real tools), yoga, and much more.
I provide home-cooked, nutritious meals, and my menu is created with the children to reflect their tastes.
My Experience
I qualified in 1997 and I have spent my career working in children's day nurseries, starting as an unqualified assistant, and leaving nursery life as a manager to become a childminder. I have been a registered childminder since September 2020.
My Qualifications
I hold a childcare and education level 3 qualification, first aid certificate, food, safety, safeguarding, and prevent duty.
Supporting the children's speech and language is embedded in my practice and I am Elklan level 3 and early talk boost trained.
I am also trained to deliver the supervised tooth brushing program.
I believe in developing my knowledge, I regularly embark on CPD covering a wide range of early years themes.
To support my outdoor ethos, I am currently completing Hygge in the early years - wanderlust nature study.
