About Me
My name is Julie Wasiak, I am a fully qualified nursery practitioner and a Care Inspectorate registered childminder. I have been running my childminding service, Twinkle Stars Childcare, since November 2011 and I am a member of the Scottish Childminding Association (SCMA).
I am a Partnership Provider with Fife Council, offering 1,140 hours of funded Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) for eligible 2 year olds and all 3 & 4 year olds. This means you can choose to have around 25 hours/week fully funded or split these hours with a nursery.
I live in the Duloch area of Dunfermline with my husband and daughter, who attends St Margaret's primary school.
In addition to being a fully qualified nursery practitioner, I am also a trained Bookbug leader and run the Dunfermline and Rosyth Childminding group page.
Your child will be cared for in a safe, friendly and inclusive environment. My home is detached, with a dedicated "family" room, an enclosed garden and ample on-drive parking. Day-to-day there is a wide range of activities that are stimulating, educational, and sometimes just pure fun.
Whenever possible, we enjoy getting out and about, offering the children a range of experiences, such as going to the beach, the play park, on forest walks, picnics, to the deer centre, the national museum, and we have even been to a few family-friendly shows at the Edinburgh fringe.
I regularly arrange play dates and outings with friends who have children or with other childminders who are caring for children of a similar age. This works well, especially during school holidays when we are out and about a lot. The children always look forward to seeing their friends.

My Experience
I am a Care Inspectorate registered childminder and a fully qualified nursery practitioner, having worked in both private and council run nurseries prior to childminding.
I am a loving mum of one and auntie to six, including twins.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
Care is available 7:30am - 5:30pm Monday to Thursday (other days and times will be considered). Price includes breakfast, lunch, snacks and basic trips out.
Full-time care: £50per day.
I work in partnership with Fife council offering Early Learning and Childcare placements for Eligible 2, 3 and 4 year old children.

Couldnt recommend Julie more. She is fanatsic with our son, he is always so happy to go. Feel really comfortable and at ease leaving our son when i returned from mat leave. So much care and attention goes into the childrens development. Always pick up a happy little boy. Cant thank and recommend Julie enough.

I highly recommend Julie as a Childminder. My daughter loves her time with Julie and has developed great friendships within Julie’s home. Julie is kind, caring and provides a fun and educational environment. Julie uses an app which she updates throughout the day letting us know what they’ve been up to. We’re very lucky to have Julie in our daughters life.

I cannot recommend Julie highly enough as a childminder. She has had Jack full time from 5 months until he started nursery age 4. She has a wealth of experience with children and does such a wide variety of activities with the kids. I love the scrap books summarising Jack’s development and experiences. He attends only a Thursday now and I’m regularly asked is it my Julie day yet! :)
