Hi, I’m Julie Wasiak
I’m a fully qualified nursery practitioner and Care Inspectorate–registered childminder. Since 2011, I’ve been running Twinkle Stars Childcare, providing a safe, happy, and nurturing place where children can learn, play, and grow. I’m also a member of the Scottish Childminding Association (SCMA).
As a Partnership Provider with Fife Council, I offer 1,140 hours of funded Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) for eligible 2-year-olds and all 3- and 4-year-olds. This means your child can enjoy up to 25 hours per week funded, or you can choose to split these hours with a nursery if that suits your family best.
I live in the Duloch area of Dunfermline with my husband and daughter. Alongside my childcare qualifications, I’m a trained Bookbug Leader and help run the Dunfermline and Rosyth Childminding Group, bringing local childminders and families together.
At Twinkle Stars, your child will enjoy a warm, inclusive, home-from-home environment. We have a dedicated playroom, a secure garden for outdoor fun, and plenty of on-drive parking for easy drop-offs and pick-ups.
Our days are filled with play, learning, and adventure — from arts and crafts, stories, and imaginative play at home, to outings to the beach, play parks, forest walks, museums, picnics, and even the occasional family-friendly show at the Edinburgh Fringe!
I also arrange regular playdates and group outings with other childminders and friends, giving children the chance to socialise and explore new places together — especially during the school holidays.
I have experience caring for children of all ages and would love to welcome your little one into the Twinkle Stars family.

My Experience
I’m a Care Inspectorate–registered childminder and a fully qualified nursery practitioner, with experience working in both private and council-run nurseries before starting my own childminding service.
Over the years, I’ve also worked closely with social services, supporting vulnerable children and families with care tailored to their individual needs.
As a mum to one and auntie to eight, I bring not only my professional training but also plenty of personal experience, patience, and understanding to the children I care for.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
Care is available 7:30am - 5:30pm Monday to Thursday (other days and times will be considered). Price includes breakfast, lunch, snacks and basic trips out.
Full-time care: £55per day.
I work in partnership with Fife council offering Early Learning and Childcare placements for Eligible 2, 3 and 4 year old children.

Couldnt recommend Julie more. She is fanatsic with our son, he is always so happy to go. Feel really comfortable and at ease leaving our son when i returned from mat leave. So much care and attention goes into the childrens development. Always pick up a happy little boy. Cant thank and recommend Julie enough.

I highly recommend Julie as a Childminder. My daughter loves her time with Julie and has developed great friendships within Julie’s home. Julie is kind, caring and provides a fun and educational environment. Julie uses an app which she updates throughout the day letting us know what they’ve been up to. We’re very lucky to have Julie in our daughters life.

I cannot recommend Julie highly enough as a childminder. She has had Jack full time from 5 months until he started nursery age 4. She has a wealth of experience with children and does such a wide variety of activities with the kids. I love the scrap books summarising Jack’s development and experiences. He attends only a Thursday now and I’m regularly asked is it my Julie day yet! :)
