Sam is great with children, organised & efficient, kind and caring, and we highly recommend Sam as a nanny or babysitter. Sam goes over and above her duties, e.g. careful birthday party-planning/research, making sure swimming lessons are going well and her charge is in the right class, arranging play dates, putting the welfare of the children first.
Overall
Sam has been a full time nanny to our two sons (now aged 3 and 7), for the past two years. Sam is extremely dependable and always on time, never having missed a day!
For the first year, our youngest was in Sam’s full time care and they have formed a strong bond. He is now at nursery mornings only. She is responsible for getting the boys ready for school and doing all the lifting before and after school. Sam has an easy going and sociable nature, and has made friends with a number of the mothers and nannies from both boys’ classes.
She does the grocery shopping and cooking of all their meals, and has established good eating habits in both of them.
The house was always left neater than we left it… quite something with two spirited boys! Sam is willing to “muck in” and never complained about doing tasks or errands which were sometimes “beyond the call of duty”.
She has a natural way with the boys, and ensures they are well mannered and polite. But she has a natural sense of fun, and keeps things “light”. Sam has plenty of bubbly energy, but is calm and level headed, even in crisis situations.
I have no hesitation in recommending Sam as a Nanny, particularly for prep school and younger children.
