My name is Rebecca and I have 16 years of experience working in educational settings. I am a fully qualified teacher and taught in a SEN school before having my daughters. After having my second daughter, I decided to start a new adventure as a childminder and private tutor and we opened ‘RJ Childcare’ in November 2022.
We attend a range of local playgroups and classes including Hartbeeps, St Andrews Toddler Group and Tick Tock. We welcome La Jolie Ronde once a week for an interactive language class. We also attend Forest Tribe Forest School once a week in Chalfont St Giles. As well as local trips to the Aquadrome, Library, Chorleywood Common, farms and garden centres.
We use the Famly app to communicate regularly with parents. We keep parents updated with photos/videos, observations, event updates and other useful guidance.
Our families have given us such lovely feedback and feel our setting is a perfect blend of an educational environment with a homely feel. I work closely with families to make sure each individual child's needs are well met and cared for. I welcome parents to visit us and ask any questions they may have. We also have an Insta page if you’d like to see more of what we get up to!

Rebecca does an excellent job at providing a high level of childcare with focus on learning.
Each week has a focused topic and there are lots of activities which support this including trips out to reinforce learning. Rebecca can make a simple trip like the supermarket part of a topic for learning. I feel like it is very similar to an early year’s school setting where my daughter is.
I really enjoy receiving the updates Rebecca provides through the Famly App. Its nice to see what my son does throughout the day so we can talk to him about it in the evening. I know every day he is with Rebecca he is going to have some sort of an adventure!
Rebecca has a very flexible approach which is a breath of fresh air from normal nursery settings which we have previously used.
