About Us
Top Bananas Day Nursery and Pre-School is for children from birth- eight years.
Open 51 weeks of the year.
Pre -School have 24 spaces.
Open 8:30-16:30 (7:30-17:30 an option)
Morning, afternoon or full day sessions available.
Toddlers have 12 spaces and Babies have 9 spaces.
Open 7:30-17:30
Own entrance and secure outside play area.
Situated within the Life Centre, Moordown.
Hot lunch prepared by Burbs Kitchen.
Run by highly qualified and experienced practitioners.
Children will Play, Learn and Grow Together.
Our Experience
Pre-schools, Nurseries, Crèches, Messy Play Activities and Musical Sessions.
Own children, Grandchildren and Aunties
Over many years myself and the team have been room leaders, 1:1, deputy, joint manager.

Our Qualifications
I (Donna) have a BA with First Class Honours in Early Years Care and Education. I gained a Merit in my Foundation Degree of Early Years and passed both NVQ level 2 and 3. I have a current first aid certificate, designated safeguarding lead, health and safety, fire safety, improving health in childcare settings; infection control, food hygiene, behaviour management, autism awareness, safer recruitment, building a bigger better stronger team, the power of play, leap into language, let's talk about maths, channel general awareness, English as an additional language, working together to close the gap, letter and sounds and self evaluation training.
September 2019
Hannah joined Top Bananas and is part of the new venture. Top Bananas is now a Nursery.
Hannah has Level 2 and Level 3 in Early Years. Hannah is our Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator.
June 2021
Chloe joined the team as an apprentice. Chloe gained her level 2 in 2023 and her level 3 in 2024. Chloe is in charge of restocking the first aid kits.
September 2021
Hayley has her level 2 and 3 in childcare. Hayley is in charge of re stocking our toiletry supplies.
July 2022
Kat level 2 joined but is now doing her level 3. Kat is in charge of Music and Movement.
Amber joined as an apprentice. Amber gained her level 3 in 2025.
February 2023
Pam joined the team. Pam has her level 2. She loves to sing and dance.
November 2023
Emma is our Deputy and Pre-School room leader joined the team. Emma is our Designated Safeguarding Lead.
July 2024
Chester joined the team as a level 3 after completing a placement here. Chester is in charge of e-safety.
August 2024
Cordy joined as our level 2 apprentice- she is nearly complete and looking at doing her level 3.
Mia joined the team as a level 2 and has now nearly completed her level 3.
December 2024
Erina who is level 2 joined the team.
March 2025
Chanelle joined the team and is the room leader of the baby room. Chanelle has level 1,2 and 3 and is our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.
April 2025
Lilly who is level 2 joined the team.
May 2025
Sarah joined the team and is now the room leader of the Toddlers.
July 2025
Molly is our new apprentice who applied after doing a school placement here.
February 2026
Hana who is level 3 will join the team
We all have first aid, safeguarding, health and safety, food hygiene and allergy awareness.
We then have our own strengths in specific areas such as; special educational needs, English as an additional language.

My Daughter attended top bananas preschool from September 16 until she left for school in August 18. She was diagnosed with Autism in July 17 and the preschool staff (particularly the manager Donna and the Senco Catherine) supported us all every step of the way, I felt fully involved in her learning and development and through their hard work and the fact that they knew my daughter so well they were successful in their application for her EHCP and this secured her a place in specialist school this September, she has settled in so well and I believe that a lot of the reason for this is the preparation that top bananas helped her to develop.
I can't recommend them highly enough and I'm so thankful that we found them they have changed our daughters life 😍😍😍
