About Me
My name Isoken, I have three children (a son and twin daughters) and I live with my husband too.
I am friendly, approachable, and hard-working, I have good communication and listening skills as well as committed to my job.
I have been a qualified childminder (Ofsted registered) since March 2016, Ofsted graded GOOD at my first inspection in April 2018.
I currently hold an MA Education (Merit) and a BA in Early Childhood Studies Degree (First Class). I have a valid Peadiatric and Infant First Aid qualification, I have undergone training, and have an understanding of the principles that underpin safeguarding. I also hold a valid GCSE including maths and English.
My aim is to provide parents and children from all backgrounds, with a warm and welcoming environment where the child can play, learn and develop.
I am committed to providing high-quality childcare at an affordable price. I ensure that children achieve the best as well as have good experiences whilst in my care.
My home is clean and tidy with a front and back garden where children can have a free, fun, and messy play. I also provide activities across the seven areas of learning as stipulated by the EYFS (including outdoor trips, quiet time for sleeping and reading, and singing time).
My home is a smoke-free environment and I provide an inclusive setting where all children are treated as individuals.
My Experience
As a mum, I have experience in caring for children from 0 months. The various trainings I have had has helped me to understand how to care for and safeguard children in a professional manner.
I have been trained to care for children in a homebased setting, how to safely handle and administer medication and also how to administer peadiatric and infant first aid.
While I was at college studying for my health and social care qualification (2011-2013), and during my undergraduate studies, I had the opportunity to work with children at nurseries, primary schools and those with learning difficulties whilst on placement. These trainings and experiences have helped to boost my confidence in caring for children who may need additional support in a professional and responsible manner.

My Availability
I am available to work mondays to Fridays from 7am to 6pm. I provide overnight care from 8pm to 7am where needed.
I offer school drop of and pick ups from Meadows Primary School (Northfield) St.Laurence Cof E infant and junior school (Northfield), Bournville Primary School (Northfield); Quakers day nursery (Northfield); Merritts Brookes E-Act Primary Academy(Northfield); St. Brigid catholic school (Northfield); The Orchards primary school (Northfield); Forestdale Primary School (Northfield); My first friends (Rubery) and Colmer’s Farm primary school (Rednall).
I am available to work during bank holidays and during the school holidays.
Not available for Christmas, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day.
My Fees
- Childminding from £7.50 per hour
Monday-Friday 7am to 6pm from 7.50/hr
*£9.00/hr after 6pm
Monday to Friday Overnight care 8pm to 7am £90.00 flat rate.
Saturday to Sunday Overnight care 8pm-7am £100 flat rate.
Bank holidays 7am to 6pm £11.25/hr
Emergency care £11.25/hr
FEES FOR ABSENT CHILDREN
1.Parent/child sick-full fee charge
2.Childminder sick-full fee off.
OTHER CHARGES
Late collection and late payment fees will be charged
If a child is collected earlier than arranged, full fee paymet as par contractual agreement will apply.

My son attended this setting last year. I’ve taken time before writing this because I wanted to reflect calmly.
At first things seemed fine, however over time I started to feel uneasy about certain aspects of communication and documentation.
On one occasion my son came home in completely soaked clothes with a heavily wet nappy. As a parent, that was very upsetting to see. I raised it immediately. Although an apology was given, there was no written incident report.
There were also ongoing concerns around nappies and wipes. I provided a full pack of 32 nappies. My son was also in the early stages of potty training, so I would not have expected them to run out so quickly. The pack did not last a week, and the number of changes recorded in the diary did not align with how quickly the nappies were said to have finished.
On two days there were no written daily records provided, only verbal explanations.
During one activity, photos were sent which included another adult I had never previously been introduced to or informed about. When I asked who she was, the initial message was deleted. The following day I was told she was a volunteer. The photos that had been sent were later deleted from WhatsApp. That sequence added to my concerns around transparency.
When I raised my concerns, I was described as “nagging,” which I found unprofessional and hurtful. I was also informed that the provider’s husband wished to speak with me regarding my complaint, which made me uncomfortable as I expected communication to remain directly with the registered childminder.
Shortly after raising these concerns, the provider terminated the contract and refunded the remaining balance.
As a parent, I expect openness, accountability and professionalism. Unfortunately, this was not my experience.

Your child was truly a valued member of the setting. Reflections may vary on why the contract was mutually terminated, but I am sorry to hear that it did not sit well with you. Due to my inability to be organised, I left it too late to sign my son up to breakfast club when he started school in September, so in a panic I needed a childminder! Isoken (Sarah) was the first childminder I contacted due to her profile and availability to do school drop offs, once we met, I instantly knew my son would be in the best hands possible!
Sarah provides a clean, warm and welcoming setting for the children in her care, she is pleasant and highly knowledgeable! My son loves being with Sarah in the mornings and enjoys his short time there before leaving for the school run.
I honestly could not recommend Sarah anymore, I drop him off daily and do not feel the usual 'mom guilt' because he is happy & safe while there!

We brought our two year old to Isoken Sarah's setting, we were so nervous as my child has food allergies and she has never been in a childcare setting before. Sarah made getting to see her and the registration process smooth and easy, she was helpful at every stage and knowledge on things like how to add her on the tax free childcare account.
In terms of my daughter actually at Sarah's setting I cannot express how incredibly thoughtful she is. Sarah works so hard to keep the children engaged, to support their learning both academically and socially. She is kind, gentle and thoughtful in every activity. She gives full and informative handovers and she's always taking the children out and about to experience new things. She also always has lovely fresh fruit and vegetables available for the children to snack on and values a rainbow diet and healthy eating which we love.
I have watched my previously shy child blossom in Sarah's care, she is so confident and interested in other children and friendships for the first time ever. We are so lucky to have found Sarah and we recommend her to everyone. It is like a home away from home for my daughter who doesn't even think about separation just dives through the door knowing what excitement is ahead of her.

I would like to commend Isoken for the excellent care and support she provides to the children. She is very good with them and creates a warm, nurturing environment where they can learn and grow.

We have been using Sarah's services for a short time now but am so happy with the service and care Sarah provides for my daughter. I searched for months trying to find someone on this app. My daughter comes home happy every day, which is so different from previous childminder experience. Sarah's home is lovely and perfectly suited for young ones of many age groups. Would definitely recommend and so thankful for Sarah for looking after my daughter and being kind enough to open up her home to help support families. Sends photo's to me directly of weekly experience and activities and great communication to.

After experiencing 5 different childcare setting nurseries and other childminder, Isoken has been one of the best childcare provider me and my daughter have experienced.
Kind, patient, firm but fair, in stilling proper manners. One to one tutor, helping my daughter with her educational development and behaviour.
Flexible, daily updates, picture and video of how their day is going. Proper handover, working together with parent for the best of child.
Most nurseries employe people with level 2 and possible 3 in childcare but Isoken has Level 6 I'm Early child development and years of experience with is amazing no complains.

Would recommend. I recently had the pleasure of entrusting my child to Isoken, a highly professional childminder, and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed. The level of engagement and variety of activities provided was brilliant. My son had a delightful time under Isoken's care, which included an array of activities like park visits, board games, and spelling and maths.
What stood out to me the most was the balance Isoken maintained between fun and learning, ensuring my child was not only entertained but also intellectually stimulated. It was great to collect a happy child after actively participating in all the activities. Thank you.
