Karen has looked after our son since August 2016, just before he started school. He had previously attended nursery and so we were uncertain as to how he would take to a new childcare setting (and how we would adapt also!) We were able to meet with Karen, and her daughter, ahead of our son starting and Karen was informative and supportive to us as parents. Our son settled in straight away with no concerns. Karen's setting is warm and welcoming and her policies and procedures are clear and organised. Karen provides an engaging environment for the children and actively encourages them to be active and creative. She has clear boundaries and these help provide stability for the children in her care. As parents we appreciate that Karen always gives us a small resume of our son's time with her. She has been supportive during those challenging periods all children go through and is very responsive to children's' emotional needs. Our son really enjoys his time with Karen and would gladly spend longer there if he could! We would recommend Karen to anyone seeking a quality child-minder in the local area.
