When choosing a childminder the most important thing to me was that my young son would be spending his time in an environment where he felt loved and safe. Laura has been a god send. As a parent, I trust her completely and I have done since the very beginning when she immediately put us all at ease. She put so much time and effort into getting to know us all. Her settling process more than exceeded my expectations. I have never had the wrench of leaving a tearful baby because she took the time to make sure he was comfortable with her and in her home first. Instead, he beams as soon as he realises where he is and he barely notices me because he is so enthralled with whatever she has in store for him. Laura takes exceptional care of him every day but more than that, she really cares about him. Our little boy loves all the play, walks, park visits, groups, classes and outings he gets to enjoy with Laura and I love the variety of experiences she provides him. He clearly feels like a member of the family and loves to play with Laura’s own children, who are amazingly skilled and compassionate with him. The interaction she facilitates between the children in her care has been a catalyst for his social development. People often comment on his confidence in different situations and I truly believe this stems from his time spent with Laura. She shows so much compassion, affection, patience, skill and understanding in all her dealings with him. For me, she has also been really supportive and has made her services flexible to suit our needs. I would highly recommend Laura to anyone who is looking for someone to take on the very important role of caring for their little one.
