About Me
Hi, my name is Danika Jenkinson and I am an Ofsted-registered childminder offering a warm, friendly, home-from-home childcare setting where children feel safe, happy, and valued.
I live with my husband, Duane, and our family. We have two daughters who live at home — Amaya, who is a nurse, and Brooke, who is 16. Our home is also shared with our two very friendly cockapoos, Bella and Honey, who are used to being around children and are always supervised.
I feel incredibly lucky to do a job that I genuinely love and have done for nearly 20 years. Most of my families come to me through recommendations and word of mouth, which I feel says a lot about the care and relationships I build with both children and parents.
I am caring, fun, and energetic, and I love supporting children as they grow and develop. I provide a calm, nurturing environment with a wide range of toys and resources for all ages, both indoors and outdoors, to encourage learning through play. I believe children learn best when they feel secure, confident, and free to explore their interests.
We enjoy lots of activities and outings including park visits, soft play, picnics, library trips, nature walks, playgroups, and local children’s centres. At home, children take part in baking, messy play, arts and crafts, den building, and imaginative play, always with their interests and individual needs at the centre of what we do.
My aim is to create a happy, supportive setting where children feel comfortable being themselves and parents feel confident knowing their child is well cared for.
My Experience
I have experience caring for children from newborn to 12 years old. As a mum myself, I understand how important trust and communication are and work closely with families to provide consistent, high-quality care.

My Availability
I am available from 7.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday. Please note times outside of these hours maybe discussed.
