My name is Laura and I was born in berlin (Germany), but decided 10 years ago to permanently settle down in London in order to fulfil my dream of working with children as a nanny. I consider myself as a reliable, flexible and warm-hearted person that views the nanny profession rewarding in so many ways.
I am aware that looking for a nanny means entrusting a stranger with your child(ren) which is why it is really important for me to create a relationship characterized not just by a happy environment, but also trust and communication. Nannying does not just mean taking care of children, but also facing all different kind of tasks such as cooking, running errands or light housework which I am happy to fulfil.
I am pro-active, creative and passionate about working with children.
My Experience
***Experience with children aged six months up to ten years***
I moved from Berlin to London about ten years ago , already having quite some experience gained through placements and babysitting for various families . My first year in London I spent looking after three girls (at this time aged three,six and eight) as an Au Pair ( still in sole charge,35h\week ).At this time it was clear for me that working with children is what I want to do in future , being well aware how much responsibility comes with it but also how rewarding this job field is.
In the last ten years , I worked as a full-time sole-charge nanny , with most positions lasting at least two years or longer ( I love the idea of a long-term position).
I have experience looking after children aged six months up to ten years , but I am keen to also gain more experience looking after younger babies . During my last roles , I looked after twins as well as siblings , travelled with my current nanny family and also did frequent proxy parenting.
My current role is coming to an end after two years due to the little one starting full-time nursery so I am ideally looking for my next role to start around mid-October.
My Qualifications
-paediatric first aid certificate
-Full GB driving license with own car
-DBS checked (Update service which can be accessed by employers at any time)
-Home childcare insurance (Morton Michel)
-Cache Level 2 "Caring for children and young people" (Havering College)
-Level 2 Certificate "Understanding Autism" (Havering College)
-Safeguarding Course (MNT Training)
-BILINGUAL: native German-speaker, fluent in English
My Availability
Ideally I am looking for a role with a minimum of 40 hours per week between the days of Monday to Friday.

My Fees
- Nannying from £24.00 per hour (gross)
- Babysitting from £22.00 per hour
My current hourly pay is 24 gross , based on a 54 hour working week . I am happy to discuss my rate for the right family .
