About Me
I am a registered childminder with the care inspectorate, I am also a member of the SCMA. I live in marywell, between cove and Portlethen with my partner Scott. I have three grown up daughters Emma 31 Leanne 29 and Laura 24, I have been childminding for over 20 years. I have a large enclosed garden for children to play and also like taking the children to parks and soft play.
My Experience

Improving practice, I complete a minimum of 12 hours (CPL) Continuous Professional Learning every year to keep up with the requirements needed for child minding.

Karen has looked after my daughter for almost 2 and a half years and in that time she has been the most supportive, respectful and wonderful person for both me and my daughter. Karen treats all children as if they are her own and her home is fully equipped with all the best toys and craft supplies. Karen is wonderful with all the children but Is also a great support to the parents and I don’t think I would have survived the last few years without her. She is always on hand to help and goes above and beyond for all the children in her care! Karen is wonderful and I am gutted ,due to my daughter going to school, she won’t be in Karens care. We are hoping to secure a few days in the holidays to catch up with everyone! Thank you Karen you are a star x

Karen is an absolutely fantastic childminder. Our daughter has been with Karen for almost a year and a half and loves going there.
Karen is extremely reliable and trustworthy and it genuinely feels like our daughter is part of her family.
Karen is continuously does activities with the children whether it’s parks/soft play or arts and crafts.
We couldn’t be happier with Karen’s fantastic service and would recommend her to any parent.

My little boy went to Karen for 3 years. He absolutely loved every minute of his time with Karen and regularly asks to go back. His imagination, speech, eating, manners are brilliant for a 3 year old and Karen has contributed to that massively. Karen is so much more than a childminder. She treats the kids as her own, and they are so well looked after. I can’t recommend her enough!

I would highly recommend Karen to anyone who is looking for a childminder.
My daughter has been in her care now for nearly 2 years and I have never been so at ease. Karen is very honest and reliable. I am sent regular photos of Devynn which consists of days out at the park, water and sand play, painting, free play etc etc.
Karen has always provided my daughter with the same love and care that I would at home and always goes above and beyond to ensure she is happy and settled.
My daughter has a lovely group of friends who also attends alongside her and Karen provides them all with excellent routine and structure!!
Karen’s home is always kept to an excellent standard and a lovely garden with lots of age appropriate toys which are well organised.
Karen is a lovely, bubbly, honest and reliable childminder that I would highly recommend.

My little boy has been going to Karen for just over 2 years now. He absolutely loves the time he spends with her, and really does see Karen as part of the family. She is very flexible and accommodating which is very lucky as both my job and my husband's job are unpredictable. I feel like my son gets a range of activities both inside and outside, and he gets opportunities to socialise too. His speech, language skills and general knowledge are really quite impressive for his age and I feel that Karen has contributed hugely to that. I would highly recommend Karen to anyone looking for childcare in the area.
