About Me

Family looking for nanny for 3 wonderful children starting January 2026

My Requirements

Live Out Nanny

We are a family with 3 kids (Meri-10, Jack - 7 and Sam - 4) looking for a live out part time nanny (c. 22 - 27 hours a week) starting asap (January essential) to help us primarily with afternoons. Kids are at Telferscot Primary School and we live very locally.

HOURS

We have in mind something like this for Mondays - Fridays:
2-3:30 - prepping tea, putting away laundry, meal planning, tidying toys etc.
3:30 - pick up kids and take them to Tooting common / local activities etc depending on the schedule
5:30ish tea at home
Finish 6:30

In addition we would want our some nanny to be flexible to be able to do some morning hours. I (mum) am self employed and I travel around the UK reasonably frequently. My husband is starting a new role and is likely to need to travel (1 hr out of London) up to 2 days a week. Most weeks this won't be a problem as I will be able to do the mornings, but there will be some weeks where we both need to be away on the same days. We would therefore be looking for someone who is able, if needed, to come between 7:30 and 10 up to 2 days a week. On the weeks where this isn't needed we would be happy for those 5 hours to be additional afternoon hours (e.g. 1-6:30) provided these are properly used (e.g. extra batch cooking, clothes / toy sorting etc). Alternatively we would be happy with an arrangement whereby the morning hours are agreed overtime on an as-required basis.

We get that is a big ask unless people live really close which is why ideally we are looking for someone very local.

As the kids have busy schedules we try as much as we can to help with the activities drop offs etc so at the moment for example we do 3 of the activity drop off / pick ups a week. One of us is usually working from home (out of the way upstairs).

REQUIREMENTS
- fun cheerful demeanour, happy to play games with kids etc.
- competent cook (must be able to make basics like chilli, kids curry etc)
- Tidy and organised
- good clear communications with parents

Driving not essential but would be helpful. We would look to put a nanny who can drive on the insurance after 3-4 months with us.

We are looking for someone who will stay with us long term. We have had a long term full time nannies since the kids were little. We are now looking for someone new as we do not need full time hours any more, but we have built strong relationships with our previous nannies and we value continuity.

KIDS
Our kids are great and easygoing. They like to play games, read, craft etc, they do a lot of sport and they all take joy in all aspects of life.

PAY / TERMS

£19hr/gross with annual pay review and 28 days holiday (inc bank holidays) per year contracted (but likely to be more as we are away in the holidays). We will pay a monthly gross salary.
Overtime will be available.

If this sounds like it would suit you please be in touch.
