Nanny In Sw2 C. 22-27Hrs Per Week, Afternoons With Some Mornings
About Me
Family looking for nanny for 3 wonderful children starting 23 February 2026
My Requirements
We are a family with 3 kids (Meredith 10, Jack 7 and Sam 4) looking for a live-out nanny able to work c. 22 - 27 hours a week, starting from 23rd Feb 2026. All 3 children are at our local school, Telferscot Primary, and engage in a range of after-school clubs. The role includes a good amount of hours at the house preparing for the kids before they finish school.
MAIN HOURS (22.5 a week)
We have in mind something like this for Mondays - Fridays:
2-3:30 - prepping tea, putting away laundry, meal planning, tidying toys etc.
3:30 - pick up kids and take them to their local activities (on days they're not in a school club)
5:30ish tea at home
Finish 6:30
ADDITIONAL HOURS
Ideally our nanny could be flexible to do some morning hours. I (mum) am self employed and travel around the UK reasonably frequently. My husband leaves at 0730 for work 3x a week. Most weeks this won't be a problem as I will be able to do the mornings, but there will be some weeks where we both need to be away on the same days. We would therefore ideally find someone local who is able, if needed, to come at 7:30 and manage the school run.
We would be happy for this to be ad hoc or to be baked in as a set number of hours a week. On the weeks where mornings aren't needed we would be happy for those extra hours to be additional afternoon hours (e.g. 1-6:30) to make things easier, and could be used for the household tasks.
During the school holidays ideally we would find someone who could be flexible to do some full days as well.
Babysitting as well if that is of interest.
As the kids have busy schedules we try as much as we can to help with the activities - the pick-ups and drop-offs. At the moment for example we do 3 of the activity drop off / pick ups a week. One of us is usually working from home (out of the way upstairs).
REQUIREMENTS
- fun cheerful demeanour, happy to play games with kids etc.
- competent cook (must be able to make basics like chilli, kids curry etc)
- tidy and organised
- good clear communications with parents
Driving not essential but would be helpful. We would look to put a nanny who can drive on the insurance after 3-4 months with us.
We are looking for someone who will stay with us long-term. We have always had long-term full-time nannies since the kids were little. Now we do not need full-time hours anymore we are looking for someone new, but very much would like to build that long-term, strong relationship again, for us and the children who value the continuity.
KIDS
Our kids are great and easygoing. I know three sounds like a lot but they get along well and support each other too! They like to play games and do sport, but just as much are happy to draw, craft and read books. They have good concentration spans, are very polite and take joy in all aspects of life.
PAY / TERMS
£20hr/gross with annual pay review and 28 days holiday per year including bank holidays, though this is likely to be more as we are away a lot during school holidays. We will pay a monthly gross salary. Overtime available as mentioned.
