About Me
Hello, my name is Rachel and I am an Ofsted Registered childminder with a 'GOOD' rating 2020. I live on Queens Walk in South Ruislip with my partner and 2 children, aged 15 and 17, in a semi-detached house with a garden.
I live a short walk from local parks and toddler groups and am a short drive away from many local activities I like to take the children to on a weekly basis such as the Ruislip Lido, Wacky Warehouse, Pinner Park duck pond and Northala Fields to mention a few.
I follow the EYFS the same as nurseries and pre-schools and love to take the children out and about as well as child led activities at home.
I believe strongly in working closely with parents and my aim is to make the children smile everyday!
My Experience
As well as being a mother of 2, I have been childminding for 15 years. Before that I worked as a senior TA for children with visual impairment and complex needs for 8 yeas during which time I was a 1:1 for a child with additional needs for a year.
I also did 1 years work experience at a school for children with speech and language difficulties.
As well as this I have needed a childminder for my own children before I became a childminder myself and am therefore aware what its like to be separated from your child for work and aim to be the kind of childminder that I would have liked for my own children.
My Qualifications
Ofsted Registered
Paediatric First Aid (renewed every 3 years)
Level 3 Diploma in home-based childcare
Safeguarding training (i update this yearly)
Introduction to Early Years Healthy Eating
I am also registered with the ICO (data protection)
Public liability insurance
I accept funding as well as tax-free childcare vouchers
My Availability
I will have 1 space available Monday to Thursday term time only from September 2026
My Fees
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
I charge £7 an hour. I am happy to provide snacks and activities.
My Local Schools
- I provide drop offs and pick ups at Deanesfield Primary School
