Outstanding Childminder - current vacancies ... infant, toddler or preschool age (0-4 years), 2 vacancies for a Monday, Thursday and Friday to start immediately. I accept the 2 and 3 year old funding and can share my admissions policy for this at your request.
After many years working with children in one way or another I have been enjoying life as an Ofsted registered Childminder since beginning of 2011 and received an Outstanding grade in both of my inspections in 2011 and 2017.
ABOUT ME:
I am from South Africa originally, but been living here since 2000...so not much of a tan or accent anymore!
I have been happily married since 2004 and share our home with 2 friendly old cats, a small dog who is excellent with children and our son born in January 2016.
I love to do all sorts of crafts, cooking/ baking and play the piano and sing.
THE SETTING
Conveniently located just off the High Street is my home where I run my setting. We have a large open plan space that feels very much like being at home for the children, with areas of play and quiet spaces available for the children to settle in easily. I have a lovely large garden that also incorporates areas of great interest such as vegetable and flower planting, a sandpit, decking and a paved pathway for ride on toys, a little play house with a slide, grass space for sporting games and a wonderful new cabin filled with crafts and toys galore. We like to spend a lot of time learning and playing outside so have a gazebo and heater to enjoy in sunny or cold weather.
OUR DAY
Once we have taken the older children to school or preschool we pack our morning with lots of learning through play. The setting will have stations set up to extend learning and challenge the children around their own interests too. We also like to incorporate a lot of social interaction so will meet with other childminders during the morning on some of the days. We have been keeping this to just a few during the last year and of course following strict government guidelines.
We like to go to the local park and feed the ducks or go to indoor soft play (when we feel it is safe to do so again) or learn more about shopping for our food at the local butcher or green grocer during some of our themed learning. We also enjoy some toddler groups when these are being allowed.

Please note my son attends Perry Hall Primary school so I will not be able to offer a place for a different school at this time. I also work closely with a number of other childminders so between us we could offer a full time space to your child should you require.
My Experience
I have been a Childminder since 2011 and wouldn't change my job for anything! It has been the most wonderful and rewarding time with all the exciting challenges each new day brings. I took a break for a while to extend my learning whilst working at a nearby preschool from January to June 2021.
Prior to this I have worked with children for several years mostly in a voluntary capacity. I have 3 years experience working in a Children's Charity with a good knowledge on all that is important for a child's upbringing and safety. It has been my pleasure to care for a number of children for a day or in a babysitting role over the years, including being a nanny for 9 months to a delightful young baby/toddler. I also have had the priviledge of running a Mother and Toddler Group for 2 years.

Bromley Early Years EYFS training
Paediatric First Aid
Food hygiene
Continually undertaking further training
Child Development Certificate
My Availability
Times to be negotiated to fit around your needs, term time or full year contracts with a set 6 weeks of holiday taken during the year.
I currently have part time vacancies for a Monday, Thursday and Friday.
