After many years working with children in one way or another I have been enjoying life as an Ofsted registered Childminder since beginning of 2011 and received an Outstanding grade in all of my inspections in 2011, 2017 and 2022.
ABOUT ME:
I am from South Africa originally, but been living here since 2000...so not much of a tan or accent anymore!
I have been happily married since 2004 and share our home with a small dog who is excellent with children and our son born in January 2016.
I love to do all sorts of crafts, cooking/ baking and play the piano and sing.
THE SETTING
Conveniently located just off the High Street is my home where I run my setting. We have a large open plan space that feels very much like being at home for the children, with areas of play and quiet spaces available for the children to settle in easily. I have a lovely large garden that also incorporates areas of great interest such as vegetable and flower planting, decking and a paved pathway for ride on toys, various outdoor toys that we put out at times, grass space for sporting games and a wonderful new cabin filled with crafts and toys galore. We like to spend a lot of time learning and playing outside so have a gazebo and heater to enjoy in sunny or cold weather.
OUR DAY
Once we have taken the older children to school or preschool we pack our morning with lots of learning through play. We spend a lot of time out in the world navigating soft play, enjoying social interactions and getting used to others at toddlers, exploring the world at messy play experiences and even go to farms, London trips and zoos with permissions. We are not a stay at home all day kind of setting and like to really encourage children’s confidence out in the big world. Quiet times and spaces provided through the day and our afternoons are usually at home.
We socialise with a lot of other childminders so that if I am off and you require childcare there are often options available of people your child already knows.

Please note my son attends Perry Hall Primary school so I will not be able to offer a place for a different school at this time. I also work closely with a number of other childminders so between us we could offer a full time space to your child should you require.
My Experience
I have been a Childminder since 2011 and wouldn't change my job for anything! It has been the most wonderful and rewarding time with all the exciting challenges each new day brings. I took a break for a while to extend my learning whilst working at a nearby preschool from January to June 2021.
Prior to this I have worked with children for several years mostly in a voluntary capacity. I have 3 years experience working in a Children's Charity with a good knowledge on all that is important for a child's upbringing and safety. It has been my pleasure to care for a number of children for a day or in a babysitting role over the years, including being a nanny for 9 months to a delightful young baby/toddler. I also have had the priviledge of running a Mother and Toddler Group for 2 years.

Extensive training in Child Protection (Safeguarding)
Introduction to Childcare Practise
Bromley Early Years EYFS training
Paediatric First Aid
Food hygiene
Continually undertaking further training
Child Development Certificate
My Availability
Times to be negotiated to fit around your needs, term time or full year contracts with a set 6 weeks of holiday taken during the year.
I work part time - Monday, Tuesday and Thursday with spaces becoming available in January and April 2026.
