My Experience

I am a qualified primary school teacher and I have 9 years experience nannying for many different children, both boys and girls, of various ages from 6 weeks up to 15 years.

I have been a nanny and babysitter for multiple families and am very confident in the role of carer. These roles required all types of childcare responsibilities such as preparing dinner, bathtime, organising days out, organising social life and play dates, bedtime, potty training, nursery drop offs, speech encouragement, general learning and education. I feel I have a natural connection with children and can bond easily with them, as I believe it’s all down to understanding them at their level, and being able to have as much fun as them. I am compassionate, high-energy, fun, engaging and empathic to their needs. I aim to become a big sister figure to the children I look after, so that they can come to me with whatever problem or upset they have; I’d love to become a part of your family.

I have an extensive range of knowledge and experience of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Two children I previously nannied for were on the autistic spectrum and I have worked with many different types of abilities in my teaching time including ADHD, dyslexia, Asperger Syndrome, Hearing Impairments, Downs Syndrome and delay in Speech and Language.

I also love helping children to learn, so taking homeschooling sessions and assisting with homework tasks wouldn’t be a problem. I am also happy to cook healthy meals and can help you out with general housekeeping duties.
