Nurturing Young Minds In A Warm, Home-Like Setting
About Me
Welcome to Little Giggles Daycare
Hello, my name is Cassie. I am an Ofsted-registered childminder and a member of the Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years (PACEY).
Little Giggles is a small, home-based daycare where children are cared for with warmth, patience and genuine affection. We want every child to feel safe, understood and completely at home, with days shaped around their individual personality, interests and stage of development.
Our Team
I work alongside another registered childminder and three highly experienced assistants. Together, we bring many years of knowledge from a range of childcare settings and share a gentle, attentive approach to early years care.
My own journey began more than nine years ago as a foster carer. This experience shaped my understanding of trust, emotional security and the importance of giving every child the time and reassurance they need to settle and thrive.
Our Approach
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage whilst keeping our days natural, flexible and led by the children wherever possible.
Play is at the heart of Little Giggles. Through stories, music, movement, sensory activities, creativity and everyday experiences, children are encouraged to explore, build confidence and learn at their own pace. We also make space for calm, rest and familiar routines.
Our Setting
Our two spacious playrooms are filled with carefully chosen books, toys and learning resources for different ages and stages. We also have a separate, peaceful sleep room where children can nap comfortably away from the busier play areas.
Our secure garden has been newly designed and landscaped for outdoor play, growing, climbing, sand and water activities.
Regular visits to our local park, toddler groups and soft-play settings give children further opportunities to explore, socialise and enjoy the wider world.
Mealtimes
We provide freshly prepared, balanced meals and snacks, including breakfast, fresh fruit, lunch and tea. Water is always available, and we work closely with families to accommodate all allergies, intolerances and individual dietary needs.
Working With Families
We understand how much trust is involved in choosing childcare. Open and honest communication is very important to us, and families receive updates each day about their child’s meals, sleep, activities, progress and special moments.
We take time to understand the small details that help each child feel secure and provide care that feels personal, consistent and closely connected to home.
Little Giggles has been created with great care and affection. We warmly welcome families to visit, meet our team and experience the setting for themselves.
My Experience
My Experience
For nine years, I had the privilege of being a foster parent, caring for children from the ages of one to eighteen. The children who came into my care had a wide range of backgrounds, personalities and life experiences, and each needed something slightly different in order to feel safe, understood and settled.
This experience shaped the way I care for children today. It taught me to look beyond behaviour, to recognise when a child may need reassurance, consistency or simply more time, and to adapt my approach with patience and sensitivity. I learned how important it is for children to feel listened to and accepted, particularly during unfamiliar or difficult periods in their lives.
During my time as a foster carer, I also supported children with additional needs and varying developmental, emotional and communication needs. I worked carefully around each child’s individual routines, abilities and preferences, helping them to build confidence and make progress at a pace that felt right for them. This gave me a strong understanding of inclusive care and reinforced my belief that every child should be supported as an individual.
Partnership working was also an important part of my role. I worked closely with parents and carers, maintaining open and respectful communication and recognising how valuable their knowledge of their child is. I also liaised regularly with social workers, therapists, teachers and other professionals to help ensure that each child received consistent and well-coordinated support.
Alongside fostering, I have worked as a back-up carer for registered childminders, providing reliable care when additional support was needed. This allowed me to gain further experience within home-based childcare settings and strengthened my understanding of the routines, responsibilities and high standards involved in childminding.
Together, these experiences have given me a broad, compassionate and practical understanding of childcare. They continue to guide my work at Little Giggles, where every child is treated with warmth, respect and genuine care, and where their emotional well-being is valued just as highly as their learning and development.

Our daughter has been attending Little Giggles since she was just one year old, and we couldn't have asked for a better start to her early years. From day one, Cassie, Lana, Alana and the whole team helped her settle in so well, taking the time to really get to know her as an individual. The care always felt incredibly personal, and it was clear that they genuinely cared about her as a child, not just as part of their job.
We loved receiving regular photos and updates showing her enjoying a wide range of activities, crafts, learning experiences and outings to local parks. It was wonderful to see how much thought and effort went into everything they did. Every aspect of Little Giggles is planned with such care and consideration for the children's enjoyment, development and wellbeing.
Our daughter has absolutely thrived there and has made some brilliant friendships along the way. We are really sad to be saying goodbye as she is stating preschool soon.
We are so grateful to Cassie and the entire team for everything they have done for our daughter.

Cassie and her assistants have given our daughter the best start we could have wished for. Every day was filled with love, fun and learning to socialise in their caring, stimulating, positive and safe environment. Our girl has made huge progress in speaking and her confidence in general. We are very grateful to Cassie and her team and could not recommend them more.
