About Us
Station Rd Preschool has been offering local children a fun, happy & safe start to their early years education for over 40 years. Orginally located at the Public Hall in Shirehampton, we relocated to the Beachley Walk centre in 2011.
The setting offers places to children aged 2 years to 4 years.
We are a small ofsted registered setting, with 5 qualified & experienced members of staff who have a passion for early years, putting the children at the heart of all we do. Both manager & deputy manager/SENco have over 20 years experience in early years and have developed a curriculum that allows each child to be active learners & appreciates each child learns in different ways. We follow the EYFS guidelines & are monitored by Bristol L.A & BAND.
We have our preschool room for up to 16 3 years plus children and our 2s room, a cosy room to settle and support our youngest children. We have up to 8, 2-3 year olds so that the group remains small and not overwhelming for the children to begin they're early years journey. We aim to offer a home from home environment for all children. The Preschool has a large garden that the children use year round, we firmly believe that children thrive in an outdoor environment. This gives them the opportunity to run, climb & balance, use their whole bodies, learn and explore without restriction. The outdoor environment encourages good mental health & wellbeing, as well as promoting & building the childrens strength & resilience.
Our children are encouraged to be curious, gain independence and be creative. We follow the childrens unique interests & ideas, planning in the moment with adults that support interact & empower the children to learn through play.
We are open Mon - Thursday Term Time Only. 8.30am - 3 p.m.
Snacks & milk/water are provided throughout the day.
Parents to provide a healthy packed lunch for those children who stay for lunch.
Parents able to choose hours/days if required hours/days are available.
No extra top up fees for 15/30 hour funded.
We do ask parents to provide nappies & wet wipes.
Outdoor waterproofs provided by preschool for all children

Our Fees
- Childcare from £39.00 per day
- Childcare from £156.00 per week
Fee's are charged hourly, but we do recommend at least 2 hours per day.
Our current rate is £6.00 per hour for non funded children & families that wish to top up their childs existing 15 funded hours.
