My Summary
About Me
* LOOKING FOR A FULL TIME POSITION AVAILABLE FROM JULY*
My name is Chloe Titchener, I’m 27 years old and a qualified Level 3 Early Years Educator. I am currently working as a live-out nanny in Dulwich Village and living in Crystal Palace.
Originally from Bracknell, I grew up surrounded by close family and have always had a passion for working with children. From a young age, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in childcare, which led me to nannying—a role that allows me to combine my love of education, creativity, and care.
Throughout my school years, I especially enjoyed English and Drama, and I’ve always had a love for reading, writing, and storytelling. In my free time, I enjoy walking my dogs, spending quality time with my family, watching films, and socialising with friends.
I would describe myself as kind, friendly, and caring, with a warm and approachable nature. I build strong relationships with both children and parents and pride myself on being reliable, responsible, and easy to get along with.
My Experience
I’ve had a strong interest in childcare from a young age, inspired by my mum who also works in the industry. Working with children has always come naturally to me, and I began babysitting at the age of 13, gaining experience with a range of age groups over the years.
In March 2015, I began my Level 2 qualification in childcare as an apprentice at a busy day nursery. I initially worked across all rooms to gain insight into different age groups, eventually settling in the preschool room. There, I built confidence in interacting with children and became familiar with the structure of nursery life. I was later moved to the baby unit (3 months to 2 years) due to staffing needs and spent nearly a year working with infants and toddlers. This provided valuable experience across both younger and older babies. After gaining my Level 2 qualification, I decided to move on to broaden my experience.
I then joined a local preschool for six months, where I developed my skills in creative activities and deepened my interactions with children. After that, I returned to a busy day nursery, which gave me the opportunity to further expand my knowledge and complete my Level 3 qualification. Again, I rotated through different rooms and ultimately found myself in the 2–3 years room. Working with toddlers taught me a lot, and while it was sometimes challenging, I truly loved the role and was always focused on helping the children learn, grow, and thrive.
It was during this time that I became increasingly interested in becoming a nanny. I was drawn to the independence of the role, the freedom to tailor activities to the individual child’s interests, and the closer relationships formed within a home-based environment. After 10 months in the nursery, I took on my first temporary nanny role in Frome.
In August 2017, I started working as a nanny in Frome, caring for three children—twin girls and a 5-year-old. Although the role wasn’t fully sole charge, it gave me a wealth of hands-on experience, including cooking, caring for twins, and managing household tasks. This five-month role expanded my understanding of the nanny profession and deepened my commitment to pursuing it as a career.
In early 2018, I began my second nanny position in Herne Hill, London, looking after two boys aged 2 and 11 months at the start. This sole-charge role allowed me to further develop my skills and take full responsibility for the children's daily routines. We regularly explored London together, engaging in fun and educational outings. I also focused on providing nutritious meals, often batch-cooking healthy options to ensure variety and balance in their diets. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the position ended sooner than expected.
During the pandemic, I took on a temporary nanny role in Sevenoaks, caring for two girls aged 5 and 3. I supported the family with homeschooling and general nursery duties while their permanent nanny was unable to work due to health conditions.
In February 2021, I started a new live-in position caring for a 10-month-old baby. This role allowed me to deepen my experience with infants and further develop my skills in early childhood care, including weaning, sleep routines, and developmental play.
In August 2021, I began a full-time role in West Dulwich, caring for a girl aged 5 and a boy aged 3 at the time. My responsibilities included all standard nursery duties, as well as supporting both children with their homework as they grew older. During school holidays, I planned and organised engaging activities to ensure they had a fun and enriching break.
I am currently working in Dulwich Village, caring for three children aged 10, 8, and 3 while covering their permanent nanny’s maternity leave. My role includes full nursery duties, and I provide part-time care for the youngest, who attends nursery on some days and spends the remainder of her time at home with me.
