My little boy has been cared for by Karen since he was 4 months old, he loves going to Karen’s house where he receives lots of attention from the whole family. He is treated as part of the family, and feels very at home. She regularly takes the children out and about so the children benefit from plenty of fresh air outside, and every day offers new experiences for them to learn from. She makes an effort to offer the children plenty of exploratory and sensory play which the children love, as well as plenty of craft activities.
Karen has a vast stock of toys and games for all ages so there is always something new and interesting to play with, no matter what age the children are. She also has some lovely outdoor equipment and toys to play with in the garden.
I have found Karen to be especially accommodating and helpful with my little boys developmental needs, working with my sons speech therapist to help develop his social and language skills which he struggled with. He is now a very confident little boy, with plenty to say and loves playing with the other children and has come on in leaps and bounds. She has also been very proactive and helpful in suggesting different ways to help is developmental needs. I really couldn’t ask for anymore in a childminder, my son has received plenty of one on one support to help him prepare for when he goes off to school later this year. He will be so sad to leave, he will certainly miss her and her family.
