About Me
Hi my name is Amanda Kendall I have been a childminder for many years.
I have five children.
I have found childminding to be very full filling, and i am still in touch with many of the family's, i have worked with over the years.
My eldest daughter has joined me and we have been awarded 'OUTSTANDING' by Ofsted.. After 6 years we have received outstanding again Jan 2020
My Experience
I have been working with my eldest daughter since September 2013, as the demand for childcare warrant it, we work well together, its nice to swap ideas and to reflect on our practice together. The children have responded well to Lucy, and we have new additioins that are lovely.
We encourage strong friendships between the children and also between their familys.
we have a firm understanding of how children develop and we encourage and nurture, by meeting their needs and developing play around their interests.
We strive for a warm and friendly environment.
We work to the EYFS and maintain a high level of learning and play.
We had our latest ofsted I section Jan 2020 and received outstanding for the second time.
My Qualifications
I have completed a level 3 qualification in childcare learning and development.
I regularly attend training evenings as i am a part of the local NCMA network i have many certificates for training sessions attended.
I am qualified to deliver nursery education for two, three and four year old children.
I have up to date safeguarding and first aid certificates.
Lucy and i have both had our covid vaccinations.
My Availability
We work from 7.30 until 5.30.
We are open 48 weeks a year.

I could not recommend Amanda and Lucy more highly. I was really nervous about putting my daughter in childcare but I was so happy I did. She came on leaps and bounds under Amanda and Lucy’s care and she was part of the family.
Her development was tracked at every stage and communication was fantastic. She had many special days there and still talks about those special moments now, 8 months since she has left.
Both Amanda & Lucy are extremely approachable and have high levels of communication . I wouldn’t trust my children to anyone else and I am currently waiting for a spot to open for my son as the other childminders I have see don’t compare!

Amanda took care of my little son, Chester while I was at work. She kept record of every activity for the day and also very neat. I would recommend her any day, any time.

my son has been going to Amanda since he was 4 months old and is now turning 3 years old in October and she goes above and beyond for every single one of her children she cares for! i would definitely recommend her to anyone and can't thank her enough for everything she does for my boy! so genuine and so easy to talk to, i would never switch childcare providers!

Amanda and Lucy looked after my twin granddaughters for 18 months. There family were like a second family to our girls and they were always so excited to go. During an isolation period they sent videos of them reading bedtime stories home that made our girls so happy to hear. The girls are now confident and ready for preschool thanks to their hardwork, love and care x

Amanda and her daughter Lucy looked after my little girl for a few years before she started school. They were absolutely amazing with her and brought her on in her development so quickly after her starting there. I have four children and of all the nurseries and childminders I have used over the years , Amanda and Lucy were the best by far , I only wish I had found them sooner and look forward to my new baby joining when she’s a little older.
They really do treat all the children that attend like family members , not just while they attend but even after they’ve left.
They have such a warm welcoming home and my little girl still talks fondly of them now.
They went above and beyond for me and my child and I would never use anybody else.
They’re simply amazing.

Amanda looked after 2 of my children. The boys settled quickly and really enjoyed going. Amanda is down to Earth, friendly and professional. She also does a Saturday which is a great bonus. :)

My daughter who is 11 months old has recently started going to Amanda and Lucy two days a week. I could not have found any better childminders to look after my baby girl. They keep me updated during the day and send me pictures so I know how she is. Would definitely recommend to other mummy’s and daddy’s looking for a nurturing, fun and family like environment.

Amanda and Lucy looked after my daughter for 2 years. They were so caring and loving to my daughter, and took a genuine interest in her and all the children they looked after. Highly recommended.
