About Me
I have a Post Graduate Certificate in Education and have been a primary school teacher for the past 20 + years, particularly working with key stage 1 children. I have a good knowledge of the primary curriculum and of the levels children are expected to meet for each year group.
I can support children throughout primary school to improve on their basic skills as well as help children in preparation for the Year 1 phonic screening test and KS1 SATS. I will ensure sessions are well planned and progress is rigorously assessed.
I have been the special educational needs and/or disabilities coordinator (SENDCO) at my school since 2019 and have achieved the relevant NaSenco qualification. I have sound knowledge of the SEND code of practice and am familiar with writing and evaluating SEND plans as well as writing EHCP applications.
I work with children with a range of differences, including ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, sensory processing differences and speech and language needs.
