My Summary

My Experience

I have experience planning learning experiences throughout the whole curriculum and differentiating these for children depending on their ability or support needs. I am able to assess the progress of children and put interventions into place to try to remove any barriers to learning. I am so passionate about giving children exciting and memorable learning experiences and use my natural creativity to think up new ways to teach potentially "dull" concepts. I have worked as a support assistant prior to qualifying as a teacher and this experience allowed me to really begin to understand the struggles that some children can face in mainstream schooling without the correct support. I built some of my most precious bonds in that job role as these children trusted me and allowed me into their worlds and I can see how different learning looks for all children now thanks to this. I also have 2 years of experience working as an early years practitioner in a nursery. I enjoyed watching the children develop their social skills learning through play and this is something I feel very passionately about. I had the opportunity to work with children who spoke english as an additional language and support their transition from different cultures.
