About Me
I live in Keyston which is a village on the Cambridgeshire/Northamptonshire border and have a nine year old son who goes to Kimbolton School which is a ten minute drive from home.
My husband and I both work full time and are required to travel to London a couple of days per week.
We are looking for some help in the home and with after school childcare for two afternoons per week with the possibility of extra hours in the school holidays and we are always looking for those interested in evening babysitting.
My Requirements
Both my husband and I work full time split between home and London. We are looking for someone to help us with general house keeper duties at home including: tidying, organising, ironing and cooking. It would also be helpful to have help with the school pick up for our son from Kimbolton School one or two per times per week depending on whether we are both required to be in London at the same time and to look after him at home until approximately 7pm. This would include: getting him home, preparing his dinner and making sure he has completed his homework. He is quite self sufficient now but needs some occasional help and prompts. Hours would be approximately 1pm until 7.30pm but this is flexible and we would be looking at a couple of days between Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
There is also the possibility of additional hours during the school holidays and evenings for babysitting should that be of interest.
We are a friendly and down to earth but busy family who have enjoyed positive relationships with our previous nanny and sitter’s and we are looking for someone that will form a close bond with our son, have some fun with him and take an interest in his development as well as be flexible to help us at home and make sure everything runs smoothly.
Having your own car is essential and we have a lovely friendly Labrador dog.
Please do get in contact if you’re interested in the position or would like to have a chat.

We employed April as our nanny from 6th March 2017 until 30 August 2019 when her contract ended because our little boy commenced pre-school and we no longer required full time nanny assistance.
Our little boy was 11 months when April started with us and I was returning to work after a period of maternity leave. She made this transition for me extremely smooth and I was able to go back to work confident that he was happy and safe and I was very grateful for this. We employed April as part of a nanny share and she was excellent at understanding all of our needs and quickly established a routine that worked for both families. April’s communication with the families as a group and independently were excellent and we received daily updates and photographs of their activities which was appreciated.
April is a fantastic nanny and we have felt incredibly lucky to have had her in our lives at this important time. She strikes the perfect balance between having fun with the children whilst also teaching them and pays close attention to their development. Our little boy has certainly benefited from her teaching skills and she always linked part of their day and experiences to fun, educational activities to assist learning. She has helped us through the development phases including him taking his first steps, potty training and independent feeding, teeth brushing and dressing.
April was very organised and energetic and made sure the children had plenty to do all week. She kept this varied and would mix taking them out to parks, farms, discovery centres, soft play centres, swimming and the library to entertaining them at home with arts and crafts, imaginative play and games. April would also recommend what groups and classes might be suitable for our son to support his development and would take him to range of organised classes such as art, playball and music classes. It was always a busy and fun week!
April was also responsible for the children’s cooking and would prepare healthy menus and the online shop in advance occasionally batch cooking so we had a well- stocked freezer. She would prepare their meals and kept the kitchen and playroom tidy. April would also do the laundry for our little boy and would ensure he had a clean bed changing it weekly.
April is very committed to her work and professional but was also exceptionally loving, kind and caring with our little boy and he absolutely adores and trusts her. He looked forward to seeing her every day and she is now greatly missed in our house and we always look forward to the catch ups. I would have no hesitation recommending April as a nanny to a new family, they would be lucky to have her as we were and she has a lot to bring to the role.
